So our energy vouchers finally arrived yesterday - we have decided we will open a new account and put any money we'd have ordinarily put on electric and gas in there - if there is any extra with price increase (I may be being way too optimistic but I'm fed up of people moaning in the news so I am going down the proactive route!)
I'm keeping myself busy and finding I've got into such a routine with my budget at the moment, I am not stressing about every penny - I've not paid as much off debt this month because of that but it is still going down and I'm not panicking about it so much.
I've realised that I just can't believe anything in the news at the moment and things seem to be changing on a daily basis so instead of worry, I'm thinking about me. As long as I keep popping some in savings and some off CC I'll get through 😊 Let's go with positive mental attitude!!Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)- DFD: September 1st 2023[/b]

Hi Bigbeff, I know what you mean about the news and changes to what's happening, especially the energy prices and the recent Govt u-turns. I have stopped watching the news with any interest as it changes so often.
We can only influence what we can control, such as paying down our debt and adding to our savings. As long as we keep doing this, we are doing all we can to better our future

Feeling a bit sorry for myself with sore throat for days and a bit of a cough today, but hopefully getting better. Been a really lazy afternoon in front of TV. Treated myself to a new jumper in the fat face sale earlier. Sometimes you need to right?I’m hoping come payday, I’ll pay CC off… as long as i get it below £800 before then. Best sell some stuff!Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)

I've been feeling sorry for myself this week - I was being optimistic thinking I was getting better last week - I went into full blown stay in bed mode. On the up now, although sinuses are still enflamed. It does mean I haven't really felt like going anywhere this week so not spent much. I've just put a big payment onto CC of £500 meaning I'll only have about £300 to go on that one - I was planning more, but thought I'd best stick to my plans, as much as I wanted to get it gone now. I'm going to target that one with any spare cash this month and hopefully it'll be gone!
Time to do some tutoring
Hope you are all keeping well. Might do a more in depth update later!Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)- DFD: September 1st 2023[/b]

Hey bigbeff, sorry you've been feeling under the weather, I hope you're back to your usual self soon enough, take care of yourself though and don't try to do too much too soon.
Well done on the big debt payment, you're doing so well! You can always throw more at it come the end of the month if you have spare... don't forget we are getting into the expensive months now.

Went out for a curry on Friday as a treat, delicious. Trying to remember exactly what was spent but not showing as pending on my bank account, HSBC went down... Maybe I got a free night out! (Wishful thinking!!)Debt busting 2022 Total £15842.68 £0 (100% paid since 1/1/22)
