  • That looks brilliant! Will you be continuing for the remaining 6 months?  The course sounds like a good idea, especially meeting new people after moving, it seems reasonably priced too, I'm certain you can sell some items to contribute :)

I think I'm going to do the second 6 months as a separate blanket, otherwise I'll have an enormous blanket I won't use! Will be good once weather gets cold and we can't afford bills! 😂

I’ve just updated my signature and I now have paid 1/3 of my debt off in just over 6 months - if I keep paying at this rate, I’ll be debt free this time next year - a little bittersweet thoughts, I’m over the moon with how much I have paid off, but another year is a long time. I have to keep telling myself to keep focused! Been to gym today, now showering, washing and sorting wardrobe 🙂 I won’t give up!

My mum gave me £20 for petrol yesterday that i wasn’t expecting so that is going straight off CC! 😀

My next small aim to myself is to get next month’s credit card bill to be under £2500. I CAN do this! Any ideas for extra cash welcomed.

I'd be happy with being able to sew and knit - I only learned crochet this year, loving it! Sewn said:

    £1.74 for me today.
Volunteering at parkrun - legs don't want to run currently so been giving myself a break and going to gym instead. I stood on body composition machine yesterday, up 0.5kg in weight since I started 🤦 BUT body fat percentage down by 0.9% and metabolic rate up a bit too so hopefully going in right direction!

    Have a good weekend!

Just planning food for next few days, I want low cost, healthy meals.
Tonight I'm clearing some chicken out the freezer - trying to keep track of what we have already got to save spending a fortune!
Any ideas for low cost meals? - I generally make enough so we can have left overs for lunch the next day. I'm thinking maybe a bean chilli tmw. Fancy some fish but price seems to have rocketed lately.

  • I quite like doing a tuna pasta bake, and have recently switched to the Tesco budget tuna, it’s pretty decent!

We also like simple steamed salmon with either salad or new potatoes and veg.

I like to use the slow cooker so I can use cheaper cuts of meat, do you have one? If so there are loads of recipes online if you Google it

Oh I am a fan of tuna pasta :) and the salmon was exactly what I was thinking - I'll see what Lidl has!

Yes I have a slow cooker - I think I need to start using it more :)
