  • Had an awful nights sleep, i'm furious with DS and the issue couldn't be resolved last night as we had people over, it will be dealt with today. Anyone else find 2nd borns harder work than their 1st born.

DD had a friend to stay last night, think her friend is going through a rough time at home and needed a break, anyway they are both up and have disappeared off for a maccies breakfast.

Checked banking and have put £100 into savings account, hopefully declutter a few more bits as i potter around the house.
Fixed one of pupsters dog toys it needed legs sewing back on, hopefully it will last a bit longer. Spent £2 on sewing needles on ebay as i couldn't find needles and once i bought them i remembered where i had put them  :/.

Definitely my second born has been more difficult. I also think girls are far worse than boys having one of each.
I get knocked down but I get up again (Chumbawamba, Tubthumping)

Hope you've managed to sort things with ds, mine to fair are pretty good kids they have there little quirks that we need to keep supporting with (ds hygiene, dd can be very matter of fact and needs a filter sometimes!) but otherwise we're very lucky.

Sounds like you're already back to being busy.

Enjoy the rest of the bank holiday weekend.

  • Following!  My kids are only 3 and 1, but I definitely find no 2 much harder!

Hi Huggle, teenage years are hard, DS is almost 18 and thinks he should have adult responsibilities, unfortunately he is immature and lacks common sense.

I have found DS so much harder than DD.

My DS was ruled by his hormones, girls were always at the root of all problems with him. He started being a pain at 15 but had calmed down by 21. DD went from a lovely little girl to being hit by hormones at 12, from then onwards she was a nightmare for years, the stories I could tell would make your hair curl and she was so nasty with it 😩 She’s in her 30s now and still lives at home, she’s very lucky and knows she’s here by the skin of her teeth, thankfully she’s grown up a lot and I’m grateful to have her around to help with Mr SA if needed, plus her board money comes in handy. They do grow out of it eventually thankfully.

  • Yikes. I have all of this to come. I find DD much more challenging than DS for sure.
