I wonder if you can cut and come again with spring onions you have grown from seeds too - I do it with chard, kale, and lettuces

I think so.  At least you can with chives, so I don't see why not.

Extra compost picked up today from the local garden centre, it’s not badly priced either at 150l for £13 although up £1 since last year.

A few bits and bobs need potting on for sure. I’m a bit nervous to do the same with my from seed tomatoes and peppers though… the tomatoes don’t have their 2nd leaves yet! The leeks I sowed a few weeks back have germinated so I need to look at when to get them out.

Does anyone have a method of retaining all the various information needed for growing veg be it writing stuff down or logging it some how. If so how do you do so.
There is so many things to remember for different things and my brain can’t take it all.

I have one of these but I also have a spreadsheet of what I grew where in the veg beds - I like this book because I can overwrite within the months and it also has some suggestions and RHS tips. Very old-fashioned to have an actual book. I also have a second copy (a present) that I have yet to start. I notice a few used editions, but most seem to be worn from being on shelves rather than written in

I love a notepad or a list so a book like that would be ideal. I have scribbled in a book but think I need to team it with a diary or calendar of some kind with alerts in.

I haven’t BJd for a while in fairness so maybe I’ll just create a small BJ for that.

Yes this is a non-year specific journal which works better than a year-specific IMHO.

    BJ?

Yep that’s it @basketcase I used to do it regularly as I have a very busy (constantly thought provoking mind) but it fell by the way side. I could do with it today!

All tomato and pepper (including chilli) seedlings now potted on and into covered propagators in my unheated greenhouse. Three uncovered casualties of the heavy frost recently. Cling film over a bus tray full of sungold tomatoes x20. I hope they will be ok. I might go back out and move some around as I don't want to lose all of a single variety if the clingfilm doesn't work. Obv I won't keep all.
