The Challenges Of Finding Solitary Refinement ..

So after a quiet weekend , I have a couple of obstacles all at once ..
1) I have had a dry cough for a few days . Fair enough, but I am due to have my belated 6 monthly dental checkup / hygienist etc 🦷🪥. I think I will have to cancel again ! 

2) The openreach engineer should be here between 8am -1pm . All well and good , and I prefer early appointments . However, I'm due to have session with mr trainer 11.00 or 11.30🏋️‍♂️. I won't cancel ...yet ! 

Yesterday was more tidying and organisation in flat . Still a way to go, but mainly wardrobe when I'm in the mood .

I was going to paint kitchen yesterday, but although there was some paint in an old pant tin ( plastic now) , there is not enough so I will have to order another tin and will paint sometime in the next few days . 

By finally looking into that kitchen cupboard , I find a few old paint plastic tins I can throw out . Plus a couple of other things . This space can be used for other things eventually.

I will go for walk this morning / afternoon when I know where I stand with openreach engineer and when he'll be here 🐾.

so, the openreach lady did a lot to solve everything . She was great . Installed 275 metres of new cable. She tidied up the box which was corroded and put a new faceplate on my wall socket . There is more below..

1) I just about managed to get the video workout going with mr trainer 🏋️‍♂️.
The signal is finally consistent and no red light flashing on router.
2) After having a chat with her about the positioning of the router, I decided to purchase a longer phone cable and lan cable from the Amazon which means I can put the router on-top of my display unit and remove it from the annoying restricted space on 5he floor by the phone socket . 

3) I think one of the problems is with my HDMI junction cable . I have only one HDMI socket on my TV and need the freesat set top box along with my Apole TV Box to work.
At present ,I only have the Apple TV plugged directly into the tv without  junction lead which suggests to me the lead may be faulty . I have another junction lead to try ,
Hopefully I don't need to get another but they are cheap anyway .

I chatted with mr trainer 🏋️‍♂️ Who advised me to take covid test with the kit I have .
I'm fine and have luckily ( or unluckily pending potential cost) managed to get an appointment with dentist after all 🦷.

I did manage to go for walk this morning 🐾. One annoying thing , my speech is still all over the place randomly . Trying not to trip over a nice tiny dog 🐕‍🦺 and trying to pass the woman in front . I made a light hearted joke , and tbh I shouldn't have bothered . She had the manner of somebody chewing a wasp . 🐝 Should have said nothing . 

Anyway , I'll leave it there ..🌥

After my recent diagnosis I seem to have joined the ranks of those who can't walk and talk at the same time. I joined the MyAware group and they sent a card to carry explaining what myasthenia is (you possibly have one) but I really feel I want one to show to people that says "I am not drunk" as I stagger to one side and slur my words. My brother jokingly said that maybe I should get drunk (I rarely drink so it wouldn't take much) and then it might all balance out.
Hope the wifi/technology is sorted now.

I went through a phase of apologising to cab drivers in advance when in 5he cab l
Also , if pub is quiet having a chat with bar person ( if drinking afternoon ) 🍻
My local friend didn't approve of me doing that , but it's a condition where you are more conscious of your movements while trying to keep appearances . 

Simplifying things these days , if my speech deteriorates when talking to certain random people ( like the openreach engineer yesterday ) I just tell them I'm recovering from a stroke .

Internet fixed ..but my compensation for March hasn't been paid and I've just received bill for this month . 🤦‍♂️Will call Vodafone today . 

Everything works as it should ..except for 2 things ;
1) As my TV has only one HDMI socket, the lead with 2 extra sockets is faukty and the picture just cuts out .
2) I tried the BBC 👁 player and apparently there is an ongoing issue with Humax Freesat Box and iPlayer doesn't work . Not just my box , but it's all over the country and they are supposedly working on it.

I trued the itv hub, which is almost a fate worse than death due to multiple adverts
At least the internet is working finally .

This morning All good news regarding my dental visit today with hygienist and dentist .🦷
Well , good for the next six months .

I just had a nice polite conversation with the accounts team at Vodafone .📞📱
They initially said £70. However, I was quoted over £80 . My account has been credited with..£100 . 😼👍

Sorry to hear of your recent diagnosis @dreaming it sounds as if you are doing well. Not the same I know, but I both slur my words and vomit when I have migraines. When I am out in public I have been tut-tutted at as it is assumed I have drunk too much. I get so annoyed and the more I protest I am not drunk the more it sounds as if I am! I hope joining the group helps and you get some support.

Also sorry to hear about your diagnosis Dreaming and Doingitanyway with the migraines.  I suffered for many, many years with migraines.  finally went on blood pressure meds about 8 years ago and barely even get a headache now.

AC - good news on the internet and the compensation payout.  Also re the dentist - I'm jealous, I need to have a root extracted next month - not looking forward to it on two counts firstly the pain and secondly the cost!!
