    Who supplies the electric?
One of the big 6. They’d be happy to take me, but only on a 2 year fixed tariff with massive exit charges and costing more than 2x the price cap! Utter joke.

Should really have been set up in such a way that both were signed over to a single domestic supplier.
If they were supplying the property when you took possession then you're already a customer unless you never used any electricity at all.  Just decline all their fixed rate offers and stay on their SVT.

Should have been more clear - the Big 6 is supplying the electricity but not the gas. I am on their SVT for electricity as I declined their fixed rate offer. No issue there.

PE is my gas supplier, even though they are a business supplier. Not even sure they have a domestic license. I’m not sure how I even am in this situation - a residential property should never have been set with a business supplier in the first place!  It took over 2 months to just figure out who the supplier was, as it wasn’t on the database initially. Now finally, I got the details and they put me on the variable business tariff at £1.5 a day plus 0.15/kWh.

The Big 6 which is supplying my electricity would be happy to take me on as a gas supplier too (ie to become a dual fuel customer), but only if I go on a very expensive fixed rate tariff for the gas supply.

Hello.  Sorry to jump on a dormant thread   I have  just posted about positive energy. I seem to be in a similar position as you was.  Bought a property, can’t get any gas and positive energy are the last suppliers

How did you resolve your problem.   Tia
