Beware of leaving yourself short WW. It's commendable paying off the mortgage but you can't get it back if you need it.
I agree. In some ways it’s better because I can’t get it back, but it’s a tricky balance. I do always leave myself short as a matter of course as I ‘over save’ at the beginning of the month and then have to drag bits back…but this is from my general savings pot and I count what I finish on at the end of each month, rather that what I start with at the beginning. If I left I resting in my current account I would spend it all 😖
looking at my numbers I have about £12 left after expected bills, but then can squirrel a bit back if needed.

  • I have shuffled £3 to the Christmas pot, just because the odd number was causing me pain!
The mortgage is now sitting at an odd number of £7.40 something…I really want to round it down to make it end on a few zero’s, but that’s not likely to happen for a while 😖
Have a lovely day fellow Tilly tidiers ⭐️

81p tidied yesterday. This was automatic round ups from my personal spending account.  Pot total currently at £15.35 which is much better than any month I had last year! I hope it means I am just taking it a bit more seriously this year and not actually spending loads more! 😁

  • I was hoping to squirrel the tilly change to cc, but looking at what I have left for 2 weeks I'm likely to need it for food in the last week.

Think I underbudget the food.  Some months it's bang on, other months I'm over ... oh actually just realised whilst writing this probably to do with the fact I go on a Thurs shop so probably to do with number of Thursdays in a month ... oh I am an idiot lol now iv realised I can sort it.
  • I should hope your taking it seriously as you are our illustrious leader NM
    Wheres this list of joiners?
15p today better than a slap in the face with a wet fish 😁
