@CAFCGirl, how awful for you! I am in the process or changing my email account as it has been found on the dark web. I have also had a credit card cloned - I think it was done at a petrol station. It feels horrible. Hugs for you.Mrs O, I am making a Toft Simon the Sheep at the moment. My first ever crochet project. My friend has signed up to their quarterly magazine, which is full of designs - knitting and crochet. I like the beanie and a jumper. I can only but dream. I will get there (or pay my friend to make it fit me!)
Still no spends / clothing bought / no coupons spent.(I still have some chocolate left).2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons
2025 Frugal challenge8 -
@CAFCGirl, if the chocolate crackle biscuits made by @CapricornLass don't settle you down, here's the sticky gingerbread loaf I made earlier with lots of finely-chopped ginger which is good for settling a jumpy churning tum...
I finished the stranded colourwork on my Pinks slipover, cut the steeks, picked up the edges round the neckline and knitted the ribbed edging, only to realise that I had used measurement A in place B, meaning I have to undo the last 2 days' worth, pick up the shoulder-straps again and knit another few inches.
It would have been an extra hour or two's work in the first place, but doing the mistaken work, undoing it all and picking it all up in the right place is going to be quite a lot of hours' work all told... daft of me!2025 remaining: 37 coupons from 66:

@CAFCGirl, I hope things are going better today. Let's say you lost a couple of windows to blast and someone sneaked in under the cover of blackout and now your papers are all over the place but hopefully nothing gone? So now there are boards up and it's all gloomy inside, not to mention a bit draughty. Hopefully the glazier can be found (I'm sure he's not been called up, he must be in his fifties: I think he was doing farm work last time I saw him), and in the meantime time here's the biscuit tin again...
@LegitTrying35, welcome! You sound fearfully organised, and obviously an avid reader! Did you go for a capsule wardrobe when you revamped yours? A more or less complete new start sounds like quite an adventure!
@CapricornLass, huge commiserations, I had to pull back almost the entire front of a jumper once so I do feel for you. Thankfully mine was stocking stitch. I never dare do anything complicated in the evening as I've learned I make mistakes when tired. I hope yours works out next time around.
My knitting is progressing slowly, nothing exciting here. I need to send off for the long circular needles tomorrow or it won't get side borders. If I can find the cubic ones again, I might give them a try or I'll never know if they suit me.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
The sun's been out and I think I’m solar powered (Onebrokelady)

I'm sure you'll make a wonderful job of teaching her, Laura. And commiserations over the slipover. At least I only have one row to unpick!Sealed Pot Challenge no 035.

Thank you for sharing your knitting woes, it makes me feel much better!I’m knitting a simple K1, P1 ribbed hat, it should already be keeping my ears warm but I am on my third attempt; thought I had got two balls of the same yarn out of my stash, knitted most of one and then found the second ball was not only a different colour but a different weight! I won’t bore you with the other problems, but I’m beginning to wonder if I will finish this before the warm weather comes, it is such a simple project I can’t believe it’s taking me so long.Life is mainly froth and bubble: two things stand like stone. I found the pattern I’m going to use for my apron! Looks like it should be very simple, and the most complicated part will be turning the straps right side out.

This was my first Toft creation. I think my most recent (a gargoyle) is on last years thread. I also did a pink stegosaurus for a friend’s daughter (her favourite dino and colour).

You are all so deeply lovely to care about little old digital me's woes.
I haven't done a quote reply/tag to everyone but you have all cheered me up immensely. The impromptu tea and cake session was most lovely, albeit for a naff reason, but the sugar high helped
I love the analogy @Cherryfudge - I did find a chap called Charles, through someone who knows someone (read online tech chat support) and he's sent my address to a guy who has two left feet so couldn't sign up and he's gonna take a look at my windows in the next 24-48 hours.
I did titter at the windows aspect since its Bill 'Glazier' Gates giving me all the bother.
Also wanted to say @OldWomanWhoLivesInAShoe your comment really hit me in the emotional/mental/spiritual centre, and today I feel very much like a grown up for handling it. panic attack and all.
Today I'm channeling that inner Blitz spirit buoyed by my manic spend refund hitting my account.
