MrsCD said:Any thoughts on how many coupons for an oodie?
"1 yard wool cloth 36"wide – 3 coupons, non-woollen cloth is 2 coupons" - I'm not sure of the width but I think PipneyJane said to assume all fabric widths can be ignored, and if I were making an Oodie and could get front and back out of the same width, I'd be doing so. I'd assume two yards of non-woollen cloth, thus making 4 coupons... just my take on it.

Hi all, yes I am in for next year. This thread really has made me think about my clothes buying and it is such a lovely friendly place. I check in regularly even if I don't post that often. I can see some purchases looming for next year. There will be some yarn for baby makes
, and I still have my voucher for mands to use which I am fairly certain will be spent on t shirts as I have a few that are looking tatty around the edges and I wear them all the time. Also I might have to get another oodie for OH as it has been in constant use to the point that I am starting to get concerned that it will have to be surgically removed to be washed
. It is definitely saving money on the heating bills though as there have been no complaints about feeling cold, which was the aim
I also think I might have to look for a pair of waterproof shoes. I seem to wear sketchers all the time and although they are the most comfortable shoes they are not good in the snow or rain
. I've got home with wet feet a couple of times lately. I will investigate the shoes in the bottom of my wardrobe first to see if there is any I can still wear comfortably now I am walking more and using the car less
@PipneyJane thank you for continuing to keep this thread going, I really appreciate it
I will head over to the new thread now to sign up.
Take care everyone8 -
I'm in for next year Peeps. I do check in on you all and will be again for the next year. I need to pop in to the village hall make sure you are all behaving. I am not doing well at monitoring my spends. I seem to be future proofing my wardrobe whilst I still have some income and prior to throwing the towel in at work
. I have ensured that my purchases will go together and are timeless items. I won't really care what anyone thinks about it, it suits me and my life.
Thanks Pip for your support.
See you all soon

Good evening everyone. I have spent the day finishing off three crocheting projects.1. Put the mane onto a zebra. I now need to workout how to crochet the slipper socks. Mum gave me the black and white wool that she had taking up cupboard space. They are for a little boy's birthday in September.2. Sew together then make and sew on accessories - gingerbread man. I now need to find a second hand book to go with it. (A little boy's Christmas present).3. Sewed up a Granny square bag. Christmas present from my Mum this year.I'm am now hoping that I can crack on with finishing my poncho. Hopefully I will finish it before the start of Spring.2025 Fashion on a ration 0/66 coupons

@Gem-gem Mr Gingerbread is very cute. I do hope he’ll be much loved. Also, that bag is gorgeous!

Lovely work, @Gem-gem! The colours in your bag work perfectly.
Here’s what I crocheted for Christmas for my grand daughter: the yarns were a charity shop find and the pink turned out to be slightly thinner than the blue, so the result isn’t as even as I’d have liked, but it still worked.
