Are there any British mobile operators which will keep free EU roaming? Ideally on PAYG.

1p mobile still do free roaming in most of Europe (ie same price as home and bundles work)

No one outside the upper management levels at the networks can answer that but I am quite sceptical that any of them will still be offering it in the medium/long term.

ASDA include EU roaming and they are payg.

They use the Vodafone network but seem to offer more than Vodafone for a lot less. I understand that they throttle back the Internet speeds a bit but not significantly.

Lebara include EU and India roaming  - given they focus on migrants/mobile communities I would have thought they might keep it.

Forever? No one knows, although with O2 being the last holdout of the parent network operators it's not looking promising long term.

O2 have publicly announced today they are not reintroducing EU roaming charges. There was an article in The Telegraph.

Comment below the article points out that VMO2 (?) will increase their prices by RPI + 3.9% in the spring, might well be 11%+.
