Hey all, thanks so much to everyone who has sent through an update! I've just updated the sheet as well, you can see the latest figures here <3
  • Hi @Julicorn sorry I was a bit late submitting my April update but done it now, thanks for organsing as always.

Don't think I'll quite hit my target by Jan 2025 but not far off. Increase in interest rates coupled with inflation has had an impact. This challenge has been very good at keeping me on track though with mortgage overpayments so thanks all.

    Hi @julicorn
Thanks for your work managing all the updates. My total hasn't changed since Jan on the sheet but I did send the April update form through. No worries if it's easier to leave it to the next update to change though.
    Current balance is £63,892

Thank you @Julicorn.  I've had problems logging into my new mortgage account, but thought I'd submitted an update sheet about a week ago.  I'll ensure I submit in good time next quarter and both changes can be reflected then.

    April update sent.
Sorry for the delay, mortgage company is currently in the process of rebranding so getting hold of my balance has been a nightmare (1 hr + wait time on the call queue)

    Thank you as always @julicorn

My overpayments will have to slow down for the moment. I'm still going to be putting some cash aside, but there maybe something brewing work-wise (whisperings of redundancies).
So I'm not actually going to pay it onto the mortgage just yet (in case I need ready funds) but I am still going to pretend the money isn't available to me. If things calm down in a month or two, I'll lob the pot at the mortgage then.
