LOL, now I do know narcissus, only because my Mum's last garden was very windy and she thought they fared better than daffs because they weren't so tall. I don't think she would have been that fired up about it that she would have told off well-meaning strangers though 🤣!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Morning all. I'm still here, just not had anything useful to say so have been lurking on everyone else's diaries instead 😀
I do have some actual money news though, as I renewed my car insurance this morning (possibly my most hated life admin task). Paid £366, which is the least it's been for YEARS, so quite pleased with that. Less pleased with the fact it wouldn't take the payment from my credit card for some bizarre reason, so had to shuffle some money from another pot to be able to pay by debit card as there wasn't enough in the car maintenance pot to cover it until I get paid at the end of the month 🙄 73 Nectar points missed out on by not using the credit card - only 36.5p, but every little helps 🤣!
Now just need to cancel the auto-renew on the old one, hope I can do it online....Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Glad the renewal cost was lower at least. Shame about the points. I find there's often a transaction fee for using a CC for insurance though?Achieve FIRE/Mortgage Neutrality in 2030

I don't think they're allowed to do that any more 🤔? It wasn't showing the cost to be any different based on the card type. It was the 3D secure it was going wrong on, they said they would contact the credit card co to send me a one-time password, the credit card co were diligently sending me the password, but there was nowhere on the web page to input it and I kept bouncing back to the same screen 🤷♀️!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Glad it's not just me who hates sorting out car insurance! 😂😂 I did ours this week too (£530 in total, but for 2 cars/people and all the extras I added in this time) - I paid on the credit card too for a teensy bit of cash back (and also because I wasn't being paid til the following day) and it had best not have charged me a transaction fee!! 😮6

Businesses hav not been able to charge people fees for a few years. If you remember, various councils got into trouble for still charging people paying their fees on CC after the ban. However I am not sure about charging for businesses using CCs.5
