Nice work SC. You say this year won't be as impressive, but knowing you you'll pull something out the bag! 😀Starting Mortgage Balance (June 2019) £72,000. Mortgage Free November 2025!5

Goals for 2026:
- Repay all the savings pots I didn't pay into this year while I focused all my energies on the credit cards. The changes to cash ISA allowances announced in the budget means I will also be getting ahead of myself and paying into all of 2026 and 2027's pots at the same time
- Make a start on clearing the car finance early. It's not due to be repaid until 2028, but a) I had 5.9% interest added in full at the start of the loan and I'd like some of that refunded; and b) I am honestly just "done" with debt for a bit. It doesn't sit well with me, so I want it gone. The target date for this is May 2027, so I should have made a good start on it by the end of the year
- Use micro-payments to chip away at the remaining credit card balances, and continue to transfer the balances around if it makes long-term sense to do so. I have 0% periods ending in March, May, June and December, so that will keep me busy 😬
- Lose some weight. I'm at the top end of the "normal" range, so not huge by any means, but I feel fleshy and gross (there is also a distinct muffin top following Christmas 😳). I did lose about half a stone in the first half of the year, but have spent the second half merrily putting it all back on 🤦♀️ Not quite worked out what my battle plan is for this, though suspect smaller portions are the answer - which makes me very sad, as I really do love food 🤣🤦♀️!
- Go to bed when I am tired. I am great at crashing out on the sofa while watching telly, less good at actually getting up and going to bed when I wake up (instead of rolling into a more comfortable position and going back to sleep 😬). While I generally work on the premise that all sleep is good sleep, I'm sure it's better for me when I'm in a nice comfy bed designed for that exact task 🤔
