Emails today to confirm 6 accounts will be closed on 18/03 - we are on our way πππSouth_coast said:Anyway, no money now in Santander π! I CBA to contact them to close the accounts though (just counted, and I have sixteen of them π€£π€£π€£), so will leave them to run their course as I'm pretty sure they close them automatically after a few years if there is a zero balance and no transactions.ΒMortgage start: Β£65,495 (March 2016)

Just watch out though - Iβve not had a personal account with them since we ended the mortgage (check signature - was it 2.5 years ago?). I opened Edβs suggested savings accounts for TCB last week and magically I had an online account - ie they had just reactivated it. While it was useful in this case, I am not at all impressed that they had been sitting on my details for that time - including log in details that could have been compromised if theyβd been hacked and I wouldnβt have been aware I was affected, thinking I no longer had any business with them.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! Thanks for the heads-up, Vix, but I knew I still had all these accounts open with them. I've also carried out Ed's savings hack, so they'll have me on file for a while yetMortgage start: Β£65,495 (March 2016)
