Just remember, the investments aren't money, they only become money when you crystallise it. Right now it's just numbers on the screen.
That's right, I'm being an investment snob/zen artist.5 -

Right, time to check in on the monthly goals....South_coast said:Money....
* Pay £4000 into the LISA as early in the new tax year as possible
* Rebuild my EF to £4800
Nothing going to these this month, as I'm paying into the ISA instead to take advantage of the downturn
Once the above are complete....
* Save 60% of my salary each month towards the refurb
* Anything else I can spare above 60% to go into the S&S ISA on payday
Working on 1 and 2 at the moment (well, next month anyway 🤣)
* Any free money or underspends to be paid into the monthly pots - Yep, done. It's been quite nice as well, I've actually been able to buy things for myself 😀!
2022, the year of happiness....* Get out and explore somewhere new once a month - Finally managed this today, went to a ruined chapel on top of a hill. Hardly a "sight" but definitely a landmark, and one I've been curious about for years!* Try out a new recipe once a month - Yep, done (yesterday!) Not sure whether I'd cook it again 🤔?
* Try to be more upbeat and positive - and don't succumb to ranting at/about work - Whew, this is a toughie 😓! Have been trying to catch myself from running on and on, focus for next month is not initiating it
* Try and have a couple of little trips away, one UK, one Europe - UK trip booked 😀
Sundry....
* Write a will - Have got BF to agree to be my executor, no further than that so farMortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
