This has now got me thinking 'Do I need to start Christmas shopping? If I don't will everything have already sold out?!' 🤣

    First of the month round-up….

    • 3x extra £50s this month, coming from surveys, interest and receipt scanning

    • Had an email to say the interest rate on my LISA is decreasing to 3.3%. Looks like I might be able to get more by shopping around, but not sure I have the headspace for the aggro 🤔

    • Both of my non-fixed ISAs have also reduced and are now 4.84% and 4.92% (the latter being my niece's savings, but still annoying). It looks like I can re-fix the two fixed ones (currently in Santander at 4.25%) at a higher rate when they expire in October and January, but there's no withdrawals allowed for the term once it's fixed, and I can't be sure I won't need the money in that time 🤔

    • Did NOT manage to stay solvent, and had “debts to self” on payday of £111.25. The main culprit was petrol (lots of days out), but buying too much alcohol probably didn't help 🙁🤦‍♀️ I had money in the extra £50s fund that I could have used (I actually tipped over £50 three days before payday), but I didn't want one month of overspending to detract me from my goals and decided to cut back instead (though not going too well on that so far 😬)

    Daily interest on cash: £7.46

    Owed on 0% credit: £48,549.23

    0% neutral fund: £15,617.46 (32%)

  • Xmas ?!  and a CS tree up is insane and probably bad luck

Also MSE-ers put the Easter eggs down.

Its always a balance having social fun vs saving for the future as they are both important.
    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.

Just seen a tree through someone's front window while on a run through BF's village. I am beyond being shocked now....
