The coffin is to signify where interest rate money dies because for some reason someone chose to.. pay to not have their earnings available? I am baffled3

Click and collect order placed with Boots. A combination of points offers and using a gift card I bought last week when Ed tipped us off about the £2 TopCashBack bonus means I'll be getting 90p ZipZero + £6.75 Boots points + £2.25 TopCashBack (already received 😀) = £9.90 on a £22.58 spend. I'll take that 👍!
And people think MSE'ing isn't worth the effort 🙄!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

TBH, I'm tempted to give it a go at those prices! I'm sure the last bottle I bought was "only" £6.85, which can't have been that long ago 🙁Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Car insurance sorted (good job too, as I hate, hate, hate doing it. No idea why, as I have much more tolerance for doing boring surveys, and they earn me a lot less in a lot more time than I might save by shopping around on insurance 🤷♀️)
So, renewal price was £513.93
Best price online was £465.56
Called current insurer, and because I'm such a valued customer (been with them 4 years apparently, which I'm surprised by!) they brought it down to £443.10
Still a lot, but better than it might have been!

(Have also just amused myself by working out that 1 year's car insurance = 57 litres of olive oil. This is clearly how I should consider all purchases now - what is the equivalent in olive oil terms 🤔🤣?)Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)

Why has your car insurance gone up so much though?4 -
Ooh, I like the giraffe idea, although slightly more obscure as a frame of reference (and no nearby safari park to visit and get an idea of scale 🤔)
I think insurance for everything has just gone up loads lately, KP. No reason why mine should be pricey, sensible car, 20 years no claims, no points, no prangs in the last 5 years, a lot less miles than previously. The only thing that might add to it is that I need business use for travelling to work meetings etc, but I've always had that so no reason to justify the huge increase! I'm just glad to have it done with really, and on the plus side it's another £443.10 stoozing at 5.2% 🤷♀️Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
