I now have £33k available across 6 cards though, which is a bit bonkers.
Just re-reading my old diary, and in March 2020 I had £40.2k available over 6 cards, so clearly not as bonkers as it feels!

More reading of my old diary, and was delighted to note that I reinstated my pension contributions to the maximum my employer would match just 9 days before being told I was getting made redundant. I remember getting a certain satisfaction from correcting their workings as they had assumed they would just need to pay me the minimum figure when calculating my pay in lieu of notice, but I didn't realise it had been that close to the wire!

    DON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff.    Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
