Thanks, Bala the Brave. as someone here said getting through the day is a success . As someone said , make a mental note of each little triumph , making a cup of tea is one, but just do what you feel like doing or not doing.

Hello, Thursday already and no decluttering done since the weekend. Work and real life has got in the way. Decluttered ££ on de-icer, medicines after OH depleted stocks as got a cold (tested but all negative), seeds and tester pots of paints.
Today is my day off and sat in the living room, despairing at the stuff everywhere; washing, toy's (too many), piled up coffee table, bags of wool, carrier bags of paperwork that need sorting and put into an appropriate filing system or shredded and an ironing pile which has taken over the sofa!! I would be embarrassed to have anyone into my house at the moment!
Any all other rooms, need a good sort out and tidy up. Any pointers where I start, feel a bit overwhelmed with it today so just don't feel like bothering but I will pull up my big girl pants and crack on with it.

@Fizz2015 Go with the thing that's right in front of you, the thing that's physically the closest to you. Dealing with that thing first leads you to take a step towards the next thing and the next. Well that's what works for me when I'm feeling overwhelmed.

Connecticut, Vermont, Minnesota, and Rhode Island.....they were my 4 missing states. Mrs SD you're a 🌟. Thank you.
I'm still slowly decluttering the pile of magazines, and I've made a start on one of two boxes of 'stuff' retrieved from under the kitchen table. When faced with a pile of stuff I take it one item at a time to avoid 'overwhelm'....so far, one small England flag and 3 t shirts to go in a bag for DS. I'd bin them but they look like memories of holidays abroad so he may want to keep them. GF is going to love me hehe.
And a gold star for me - aw shucks...thank you. Xx

Thanks Ruby-eskimo and roundtuit, I will collect DD from school and when we get home put some tunes on and attempt to tidy some of the living room. 3 areas I will focus on Toys need to have a home and all in one place, all wool together and in the storage cube if possible and tidy the coffee table. (return items to their correct home).11

Another t shirt put in bag for DS.
Instruction books for items no longer owned recycled.
Notebook and unused gift tag added to stash.
Found photos of DS and me taken when we took part in a Plough Jag. I remember we were rehearsing when my Gran died and a old schoolfriend ended her own life on the day of Gran's funeral. Must be 14 years ago now.
Receipt dated August 1992 for cooker (no longer owned) put in shredding pile - awww I was pregnant with DS then.
That's enough for now.

I've been reading up about Dorothy Vernon @vulpix - what an interesting lady! When I was looking for a username to register to start my debt free diary, I was inspired by Georgiana Cavendish and her prolific spending habits12
