HI chums, as usual you are all so busy coping with busy lives.
Your work at the library is stella Weenancy. In fact all that you do for others is stella too.
It must be nice to know that you have been appreciated in your job Deni.
Get well to poorly chums and families. Including dogs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at least the little love didn't eat human tablets over Christmas.
MIL should have been transferred from Hospital to a care home today but the home has Covid. MIL has now tested for Flu and is being nursed in isolation for 7 days. The poor thing.
A lovely but long day yesterday in Lincolnshire.
Today it's back to operation Christmas decoration. I am sure those lanterns will be dizzy by the time I have finished. I am still undecided where Christmas stuff looks best at this house. Honestly Guv I have decluttered so many decorations the past couple of years, but still have too many. It was ok being Mrs Christmas in a much bigger house.
You are right Mrs SD, kids never really leave home. The chair in my photo isn't mine. I was asked to look after it when my son went to work in Canada about 7 years ago. He has been back about 4 years. He still doesn't have anywhere to put it.**** DS also has boxes and boxes of books at my Mum's from the same time. He has got married in the meantime and DIL doesn't want their house to be cluttered! ( I can't talk ,I have stuff at my Mum's. On the list to sort out in 2023.) When DS and DIL visit they will be taking away an antique brass table with folding legs sort of Bedouin thing and a small Persian rug. I love them but sadly have no room at this house for them. All subject to approval by DIL. Oh also in a bag already for them to take ,some horse brasses which were from my Grandads horse on the farm after the first world war. Their house is a much older and bigger cottage than mine and those things would look perfect, and they stay in the family.
Love to all Vx:12 -

Last night I came over all peculiar - cold to the bone, shivery & feeling nauseous. Went to bed in my fluffy dressing gown. Slept for 2 hours, up for an hour to drink a cup of tea & then back to bed for another 2 hours. Stayed in my dressing gown all day feeling slightly ‘off’. However, I have written up my 2023 birthday cards list ready for buying all next years cards 🙂 DH filled the bird feeders & had a bath. Dinner will be breadcrumbed fish, oven chips & baked beans.

1089. Furry scarf - seen better days
1090 - 3 - 4 x books
I've got no further with Christmas preparations - that'll have to wait for Thursday. The only thing I've managed to do over and above work is knit a teddy bear. Its my first attempt and its come out quite well (if you don't look too closely
I've been meaning to try to reduce the screen time on my phone for a while . I heard about a tip to change the display to greyscale and it reduces the amount of dopamine you get from using the phone. It actually makes the phone quite depressing to look at !! It's worked like a dream so far -my screentime is down 55% since last week. It's early days but so far so good!
1091. Knitted a teddy
Vulpix - your room is lovely - gorgeous lanterns !
2scratters - I'm glad your dog is ok!
Sending love & healthy wishes to all

Good morning. I had a bit of a cold relapse yesterday and during the night, earache. Just woken up and feel loads better. Hopefully we will all be better by Christmas.
Got a txt yesterday from the rug man to say the rug has enjoyed it's spa and is relaxing in the drying room, ready Thursday. Not able to pick it up till Friday. Front door is locked in anticipation! No entry.Cats ignoring the new rule! I have had the door mat in the washing machine to give that a treat too.
Christmas decs still not finished, the three lanterns may move again before I am done.
