DSis took the ‘decluttered through upgrading’ stuff to the charity shop yesterday and I’ve scanned and boxed up some bits for Ziffit and organised the DPD collection for Monday when I’m at home. The sparky has been booked for power out to the shed and an extra socket in the kitchen. Lovely fella that he is he’s sticking to the August quote too.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

Ooohhh @TC77 there was a long running debate in my house when I was growing up between my Westmorland Dad who said ‘mithering’ and my Surrey/Hants Mum who said ‘midering’. Of the two I prefer mither.✒️ Declutter 2025👗 Fashion on the Ration 2025 61/66 coupons (5 coupons silver boots)✒️Declutter 2024 🏅🏅🏅(DSis 🏅🏅)

1. Write a daily To Do list - only 3 tasks
2. Deal with Old Frogs & potential frogs ASAP but at least one on FROG Fridays.
3. Reduce/Restrict time watching TV during daylight hours 😉 AB2 playing zero - 20/9/2022
4. Declutter/Relocate one item every time I stand up.
5. Don’t put it down, put it away
6. Continue to keep kitchen clean & tidy - before going to bed
Never did do anything on Friday 😔 apart from put away the shopping. Dinner was spaghetti bolognaise (meat sauce from freezer) for DH & DSis whilst I had spaghetti with red pesto sauce. Wudupa.
Saturday has been a mixed day weather wise but mostly wet. Finished knitting 4th scarf & started on 5th. Cleared down more programmes from planner. DH received a call from his niece (S) saying that she & her mum (W) were at Ik** & asking if they could pop in for a cuppa. Yes please - as it spurred me on to scrub downstairs loo & vacuum downstairs + a bit of tidying. We finally succumbed to putting on the heating - couldn’t let our visitors freeze 😂 Although I have to confess that DH was more than grateful to put the heating on 😉 Sadly DSis had gone shopping so missed them even though they stayed for 45 minutes. Really good news was that S had applied & been interviewed for a job share (as a school librarian) with her daughter (Sh) AND THEY WERE SUCCESSFUL. Start 2nd December - S 2 days & Sh 3 days 🥳🥳 Lovely visit - lots of chat & laughter.
Dinner was chicken fried in bacon fat with boiled potatoes & sweetcorn. Wudupa.

Excellent decluttering roundtuit 👏 Well done on keeping up with the 50% of books out 👏
Great work oceanspirit 👏 No need to speed up the sorting of the boxes in the shed - just tackle one box at a time & take as long as you need 🙂 Far better to take your time & not regret any decision you make 😊
Very childish of me I know, TC77 😔 but it was more the fact that DH had taken the time & trouble to carve them & only got acknowledgment from me & my DSis 🙁 Sorry your motivation to declutter is at a low ebb but as you say if you can keep up with the daily decluttering it is a win 👏 Absolutely nothing wrong with welcoming an electric blanket into your home 😉 Hatton Garden is very intimidating 😥 too much shiny stuff & having to be buzzed in, way too stressful for me 😔 By the way, do you fancy coming round to mine to clean my hob 🙃 Mithering is such a lovely word 😊
Fizz2015, you have not fallen off the decluttering train as you have been decluttering appointments & tasks 👏 Good luck with your weekend sales 🍀
Excellent work nannywindow, a very productive & successful Friday 👏 I hope there is a nice Victoria sponge 😉
Great decluttering QueenJess 👏 I am full of praise that you have tackled a 6 year old frog & completed 80% of it - Well Done 👏
Nice to see you Liverpool_Anne 👋 You have been exceedingly busy over the last month - medical appointments, helping out friends & OH, gardening, cooking, cleaning & day to day decluttering 👏 - barely time to sit down & have a cuppa.
You are most welcome vulpix 🙂 Your night out at a Greek restaurant sounds marvellous & what a lovely description 😊 I hope the weather stays dry & bright on your forays out 🤞
Oh wow EnergyShifter - what a beautiful photo 🤩 Excellent decluttering 👏 Shame about the draught proofing but hopefully the CS purchases will prove more successful 🤞
Good for you mhagster 👏 I think it is more than reasonable that your sister sorts out the sale of camera & cine equipment 😉 Lovely to know that your mother’s ashes were scattered in accordance with her wishes 🙂
Isn’t the English language wonderful, mehefin 😊
Great decluttering florianatwobob 👏 What a lovely sparky 😊 “Mithering” gets my vote too 🙂

It so reminds me of my Mum who used to put the maiden up in front of the open fire. Must be a Northern expression as she hailed from Stockton Heath2021 Decluttering Awards: ⭐⭐🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇🥇 2022 Decluttering Awards: 🥇

I need a break from books. I'm going to get dressed and then tackle this:
I've not posted a before and after photo before.
Be back later.

Hi, no decluttering to report but the eating of a 10 month old frog. We had a Victorian door dipped and fitted in January. The dipper knocked the glass out of the top as it was cracked and not original. Well we have only measured, chosen a pattern, phoned the glazer, collected (only a week late because we forgot) and tadaaa taken the beading off and fitted the new glass! Not as cheap as one might expect as it has to be safety glass these days. It took the weather to get colder to spur us on to have a cosy sitting room.
We had the heating on last night, bliss.
I love the English language,I find it so interesting. I find spelling hard as I was taught to read and write with an experimental phonetic trial system. It was dropped by the government after a couple of years. Consequently I was never taught spelling rules. I could read like a dream at 4 and transitioned easily onto reading non phonetic books but have to always stop and think how many double letters a word has. when I am writing. When I worked at a school there was a parent helper who apologised for her spelling. She had been taught the same system,in Cumbria. We had never met another who wasn't in our class. Anyhoo, Mr V is from Nottinghamshire and I am not too far away from Derbyshire and our sayings and words have very slight differences .Sometimes we come out with things that are completely baffling though. When the sky is black,he says it's a bit black over Bill's Mother's. Apparently it is a mining saying. The sky is black in the direction of some kings Mothers house. My sons dissertation was about regional accents.Interesting stuff. It's all in the vowels!
I have wrapped our Secret Santas, just one more item to buy. I have also made the prototype Santa searchers and Rudolph headbands that I hope to make at the Christmas Fair with the children. I just can't get into the Sashiko quilt that I started weeks ago. It all uses up stuff from the house though which pleases me.
I must go,more leaves await whilst it's not raining.

Progress Report
I've taken everything out of the bottom section of the cupboard.
Oh my. I don't really understand why but it's made me cry.
Some part of me procrastinated before I began. As well as get dressed, I've put out the rubbish and recycling, fed the birds, washed two loads, WULTD the pots .... and I was about to go and dry the pots when I recognised this 'avoidance' so I bit the bullet and made a start.
Erm...how did all that fit in there???
No, seriously. How???? I believe I mentioned previously that this house is a TARDiS. Maybe it's just the wall unit?
Anyhoo. I'm thinking 🤔 Is the next stage (a) take everything off the top shelf or (b) concentrate on sorting what's already out?
I'm going to take some parrots as I now have a banging headache, eat some lunch and then come back to it.

Proper mazzled.
I started to dry the pots while I waited for the oven to warm up. Realised that WM had stopped swishing. So started to put the washing on the airer. Realised my head was still pounding so stopped and took some parrots. Then finished sorting out the washing, then continued drying the pots. Same end result but very not me. I'm usually very methodical.
Heyho.
