Thank you for my medal Mrs SD.
Queen Jess, very impressive eating of a geriatric frog.
A grand night out at a Greek restaurant. Great company. It almost made me want to go back to work. No,no,no. I don't want another winter in a cave! The food was beautiful. I feel quite uplifted by such a nice evening.
So many of us are feeling a bit off colour, I am sure it is lack of daylight for me (and uncontrolled high blood pressure). I am going to try and get outside a bit more to see if that helps. The yard needs leaves sweeping. The bin is emptied on Monday, but it is already almost full from the last sweep. Still many, many yet to fall.
up and atem.

Hello. Just popping in with an update of what’s gone out this week.Niece took popcorn maker. I’d put it up on local FB page when she’d popped in. Don’t care who takes it!I had two big bags. One with cameras that were mums. One with vintage cine camera and associated stuff. Oh you could sell those said sister. Do you know what? You can sell them! She’s visiting this weekend so out goes two big bags! She was not expecting those!
Also my husband’s jacket and waistcoat that were made to go with his kilt. Going to my nephew who I gave the kilt to. And I’m not sure why I didn’t give him the full set but he’ll have it now!And we scattered my mums ashes today. Where she wanted to be. I thought it would be a plastic container in the cardboard box. It wasn’t. I may have got a bit of her stuck to my wet leather gloves! It made everyone else laugh! It was lashing rain! And the fancy bag she’d been sitting in for 3 months? That also left the house…with a popcorn maker in it😆10 -
Picked up an electric blanket from a neighbour... for working at home and DD2 revising. Her hall was absolutely empty and looked so tidy... I wanted to ask how she does it? but only just met her.. our 2 roads are on a covid whatsapp (meant to check on neighbours but now mainly for recommendations and clutter! whoops meant to be decluttering).
Went to London Silver Vaults - wow such shiny stuff and so much..... took a couple of bits of cutlery and photos of things from ancestors...all worth tuppence ha'penny. Couldn't believe what people were looking to buy. My so called 'posh' relatives were all show...I knew most was silver plate and paste... then to Hatton Garden which was quite daunting, took jewellery (not valuable) been in my drawer for 20 years to check about repairs and confirmation that again worth now't. Might get a broken brooch made into a pendant and a ring I like resized. No point having stuff that is just in the draw. One person suggested displaying it, and it reminded me of possibly Floss who framed medals.
Some paper declutter, and emailed about v long standing frog - not quite 6 years but nearly, and links with my divorce of 20 years ago!.8 -
Managed to get a couple of odd jobs done - some more successful than others. I fitted draught seal around the front door but unfortunately the door won't close so I had to take it all off again. I bought a couple of draught excluders in the CS for £2 each - I'd been thinking of making some but at that price its not worth the bother... My energy runs out when the sun goes in so I'm now on the sofa snuggled under the heated blanket. (I am at least knitting).EnergyShifter said:

@EnergyShifter I was about to make draught excludes, I made some a couple of years ago but seem to be wrong size either too long or too large or not stiff enough fabric. £2 sounds a bargain.. I assume not new stock some of them sell?

LiverpoolAnne "the maiden is now up"
It so reminds me of my Mum who used to put the maiden up in front of the open fire. Must be a Northern expression as she hailed from Stockton Heath
As for me have been disposing of all sorts of junk. Used the first lot of ash logs from the tree we had to fell earlier this year. A free days fuel ( sort of as it cost an arm and a leg to have them felled).6 -
Had to Google about the maiden being up and looks as if Liverpool usage ! From Yorkshire and not heard it. Love all the different words and miss in London things like mithering6
