Neighbour told me cars had been broken into yesterday and last night noticed glove box open in my car, can't work out if they took anything, may be an Abba CD
DD2 may know. they left the rubbish I've been driving around with that should be sorted, including a box of sharps from DD1 accident that no hospital, pharmacy would take so been there for 15 months, went to my GP who said stopped taking 6 months but I wore them down and they took it. Lots of tidying and cleaning tonight. Send item back and posted 2 birthday cards.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.9 -

856, Clinic AppointmentWeek 2 of my semi-retirement has been a considerably more disjointed than the first and I haven't felt the benefit of the change.
I had to swap lots of things around to attend my eye appointment on Tuesday & to squeeze in a hairdressers appointment (hadn't been done since Feb !!). Then on Thurs I got an email from my Priest to say there was a change of plan with my Baptism / Confirmation (scheduled for next weekend) & the Bishop said they had to be done separately. So lots of calling around changing arrangements. It's still happening next weekend but will now take place at 2 different services at different churches - one in the morning the other in the early evening. Even though it's going to be a long day it's actually much better as I will be Baptised in the morning at my "home" church which is what I'd wanted, and I will be able to take my friends and family out for lunch afterwards.
I have given up on the hunt for "right" dress for the occasion - I've lost count of the number of of shops I've looked in. I've bought and returned 3 dresses - its become a bit ridiculous and it's not how I want to spend the next week - I have a perfectly nice dress that I can wear so that's it now!
Sending love Siebre - what a huge decision for your father.Sorry you've been feeling so overwhelmed TC77
Have a good weekend everyone x

Friday stayed dry until late evening. Eye test - slightly worst distance & better reading but start of various problems. Bought distance, reading & sun glasses total cost £563 which was actually cheaper than just one pair 20 years ago. Will have to wait 10 days for the first two but 6 weeks for the sun glasses due to having to be sent to a specialist lens maker. Took the opportunity (as the queue was short 🙂) to have my Booster Covid vaccine (as a walk-in) Sadly too early for flu jab - not 65 however can return after 15/10/22 when anyone over 50 can have one. Posted cards/letters. Mushroom risotto for dinner - very tasty 😋 I have started a soup using the lo brisket gravy as a base. Wudupa1660 - 1663 Kitchen recycling, drinks cans, plastic jar, plastic bottle - recycled
1664 - 1665 Kitchen detritus, pair of DSis’s Sunday socks - binnedSorry to hear that you have succumbed to Covid, florianatwobob 😔 What a lovely DBro - not sure sarcasm comes across in written form 😉 Hopefully your robust immune system will make your journey through Covid less stressful 🤞grandmanerd, Very sorry to hear that ‘the bug’ has come back for a second bite 😔😖 Good work on the decluttering but please, please don’t do too much 🙏 you do not want to set back your recovery 😔You are very welcome bit_by_bit 🙂 Congratulations on reaching £2022 👏 Like you I have been enjoying the conversation about a shared love of books & how hard it is for us to declutter them 😉 Excellent decluttering 👏 Hopefully the cs has room for the bags from your loft 🤞Good luck with your pondering 🍀
Excellent decluttering vulpix 👏 Perhaps you could sell the ornaments in ‘lots’ - which will also help clear packing materials 😉 Not too sure about your choice of fellow declutterer - Fomo was possibly more of a hindrance than a help 😂
TC77, sadly cars being broken into seems to be a sign of the times we are living in 😔 However very relieved to hear that the box of sharps has finally found a safe home. Good work on the tidying & cleaning 👏 can I book you for next week 😉
EnergyShifter, that is a lot of work to have to do when it would have been so much simpler to have kept the arrangements as were 😔 Very well done on rearranging & now you can celebrate each event fully - even if it is a long day 🙂 Now that you have decided against a new dress perhaps your third week of semi-retirement will be less disjointed & less stressful. Maybe you can accessorise differently to make a distinction between your baptism & your confirmation 🤔MrsSD 🏅🏅🏅🏅🥇 🌟 ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Still working on my four plus a day list. Every day I also clear emails not needed later. Keeping on top of them. given up on helping roommates though. One has 27,000 emails to go through! Today cleaned one shelf in the refrigerator. Only three more to go. And even more important, got one roommate to finish her taxes from last year. She did it with two days to spare - but barely. She is getting a refund too. But talking her through it took almost half of my day. Biggest frog of the month so far.11

Thanks MrsSD. The charity shop is full to bursting upstairs. I have noticed donations dropping overall apart from the odd day. I am not sure if people are just not getting rid or not donating becasue they don't seen their stuff out anymore. A woman said she hadn't recieved a letter this year re her giftaid and she had donated a lot of stuff.
Two bags fo Christmas stuff went yesterday anyway. I am counting as in and outs as it was never my stuff anyway.
Hope to get a few more bags out of the loft today and catch up with gardening and cleaning.Wife, mother, gardener, nurse, Big C survivor. Saturday was a crisp, bright, sunny day 🙂 DH tried to mow the lawn but the grass was slightly too damp so more like a flattening 😉 However he did use his new toy - a garden vacuum/blower 🙂 He also zizzed some peelings for worm food. I finished making the soup, cooked & taste tested - spicy but slightly sweet due to main ingredient being squash 😉 I fiddled round the edges by doing a couple of unimportant tasks 😉 Updated 1p Savings Challenge, sorted out purse - got rid of a couple of ood cards & several receipts, filed post (a letter confirming our Clinic is still being run by the same Doctors 🙂 - such a waste of their time & money, filling in forms & having to write to patients 😖) Dinner was breadcrumbed risotto cakes with salad leaves + fried eggs on top for DH & me. (We had eaten more of the risotto than usual on Friday hence the fried eggs) Wudupa. DSis & I watched Strictly - fast forwarding through Motsi’s chat. Matt was awful, Tony was hilarious & sadly I am still struggling with the same sex couples (I am just a very old fashioned person 😔) Although definitely not the best dancer I have a soft spot for Hamza 😉
Sunday is another bright sunny day but rather chilly - hoping it warms up 🤞I have plenty to do - just need to summon up some enthusiasm 😉😔

Excellent decluttering EnergyShifter 👏 You made my day 🙂 - I am not usually good with the whole fashion thing 😉
florianatwobob, get well soon 🙂
weenancy, great work maintaining your four plus a day list 👏 I am also awarding you a Gold Star ⭐️ for disposing of a huge frog 👏 I really hope you are recovering from your various injuries & are managing to get a bit of ‘you’ time 🤞 as you have more than earned it 🙂
bit_by_bit, I am wondering if the drop off in donations is because of the current CoL crisis & the looming threat of power cuts 🙁 🤔 However, a timely reminder for me to get off my lazy !!!!!! & drop off a couple of bags to the cs 😉

I am on a major declutter as I have been buying too much from charity shops. I want to start having some non-spend days (NSD's) again too.
I have two bags of stuff to be donated this week. Two skirts, a shirt, a lamp, a biscuit tin, a teddy bear, a ring, a necklace and my old pedometer as I have a Fitbit now. I am going to go through every corner of my house this week and look for things I don't want or need.2025 GOALS

Off to work in an hour so a quick wander by.
The printer has been returned and the old computer is back here pending collection at the end of the week. NSD's total is 6, so a reasonable start.
