South_coast said:See, I'm definitely a softie Southerner, as that looks like quite a lot of snow to me 🤣!
It is actually nice to have an hour away from it. My head has been completely full lately 🙄12 -
South coast, that's a mere dusting. You wouldn't have liked what I was driving in.
Enjoy the cafe Cheery, hopefully a break from the application will give fresh eyes to time / alter and bring the wording down.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.9 -
Well it was lovely to have a break, and I had another one later with a walk out to the road when the sun came out. Most pretty 😊
Other than that though, and a few little trips to see the chickens, it's been another full on day sat in front of the screen. Only 953 words to lose now - getting there! 😂😂 Desperately want it done and sent tomorrow, completely had enough now and I want some actual time OFF!10 -
Fingers crossed for you getting it done and dusted tonight @Cheery_Daff then you can relax tomorrow and enjoy your beautiful, snowy country lifeLive the good life where you have been planted.

Beautiful snowy photo Cheery - although I am also a southern softy and prefer to look at snow through a window rather than actually being out in it. I'm glad you didn't sustain any damage due to the storms.
I don't blame your chook ladies for disliking the wind; my cat has hardly set foot outside for several days. It's not difficult!

Thank you all 😊😊
Well, it didn't get sent yesterday 🙄 But I only have 234 words to lose now 😂 I'll go through it again this morning, and then Mr C (who spent 20 years as a professional editor) will get his red pen out when he gets up. A friend is also having a look - she'll get back to me by lunchtime, and by then I'll have done the final bits, and I'll be able to send and wash my hands of the whole thing and do something else.
Not work though, as we are officially on strike today, and tomorrow, and 3 days next week.
Mr Cheery was planning to see his dad, but the weather is VILE and there are a lot of road closures on the way, so he's postponed again (he was meant to be going yesterday originally). Don't think we'll be going anywhere much today if we can help it!
Once my form is in I'm going to have a nice long bath with the latest Call the Midwife, then get in the kitchen and do some batch cooking with a nice podcast on 😁😁 Also want to sort out oiling the skirting boards so we can finally move into the new bedroom!
But form first (or rather, getting dressed and having some breakfast first 😂)10 -
That sounds like a nice day planned - well, once the form is dealt with anyway!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Yes, I'm looking forward to it, although it'll be teatime at this rate! 🙄 Some stupid annoying administrative details that always take longer than you think they will. And Mr Cheery has only just emerged, so he needs some time to wake up properly. But I am definitely getting there!
Chicken run has various drips and soggy patches but on the whole is warm and sheltered. I'll tog up and try to clear some of the muddies bits later, but it's hard when they all jump on the spade as soon as you start digging, and when the wheelbarrow is too wide for the door 🙄 - usually I leave it just outside, but of course they're not meant to be out because of the bird flu 🙄 Might just dump a load more woodchip on the top and wait for the spring!9
