My car insurance doubled last August absolutely ridiculous.

Doubling is indeed absolutely ridiculous! 😱
I don't like it, but I will always check - I did just save over £300 on the house insurance, so that was definitely worth it!
Ended up going to see some friends last night which was cheerful 😊 Just trying to persuade myself to get out of bed and get on with some of the list...6 -
£300 is definitely worth it. I think there’s a balance to be struck though - I’m not doing as the MSE guide says - you’d be there forever for very little gain. Great if you’ve never switched but not needed every year.
Also trying to persuade myself to get up… think I need a list too!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Cheery_Daff said:Also I can see there's a couple of new bank switches available. We've got done the Lloyds one recently, but haven't had a NatWest accout - certainly haven't had switching cash from them.5

I am time blocking my to-do list Cheery and is working! I owe this idea entirely to you, so thank you. House is clean and tidy (enough) now and it’s only taken 45 mins. Into next hour now… and a walk to the allotment, which is much more fun!Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Transfer your TV licence DD to a different account and use that. Do you have any annual memberships which you could transfer? Monthly or annual charity donation - only needs to be a small amount. Do you have Netflix or Sky?6
