Thank you all, you are all very kind and thoughtful 😊😊 I did think of you (although admittedly not during the thing itself 😂)
So, staying up til gone 3am is not good interview prep, as we know 😂 VERY glad Mr Cheery came with me, he was able to make the day very uncomplicated I will be forever grateful 🥰🥰
Presentation itself went well I think, but I fudged answers to a couple of questions and came out feeling a bit disheartened.
Also massively exhausted, so after a quick cuppa with Mr Cheery, I snuggled up for a nap in the car 😂😂 Didnt actually sleep, but half an hour of peace and quiet did me the world of good.
Felt VERY sick. They bought me lunch but I couldn't eat it, and at one point actually thought I was going to throw up in the car park 🙄 Fortunately I didn't!
Interview itself went reasonably well - I didn't disgrace myself or come out feeling like I'd made a complete mess of it. I waffled a bit much, and was in there for just over an hour, but it wasn't as intimidating as I'd thought it would be with 6 people on the panel 🙄
They've only interviewed two of us (according to their sign in book 😂), both today 😱 One panel member was missing, so they will likely need to run things past them before a decision.
Home now and utterly exhausted. Planning to be in my nightie by 5.30! 😂12 -
Okay, so you might have waffled a little - normal in an interview situation, interviewers will expect this. You didn’t find in intimidating - that suggests to me that you connected with all of them on both an intellectual and social level.I think you’ve done rather well … 😊

I think it sounds very positive Cheery - not only the way the interview went (and the presentation too - I'd be very surprised if you HADN'T fudged a couple of things, and had everything been word perfect they might have suspected you were replying without thinking properly anyway) but also getting to a final TWO - that's superb! (And suggests that even if you didn't get this, they might keep you in mind for the future as they are clearly very impressed).
Hoping they let you know swiftly anyway - then hopefully we can have a giant MSE virtual celebration with you!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡
