It also means that you can ask questions like “What learnings where you able to take forward from the blah project into the wibble group approach, as I can see there are some similarities but also some quite different inputs?”You get the idea - you will see the synergies as you work through the material and can structure questions around them - with a bit of luck you will get them thinking about what they have done over the past couple of years in a new way.KKAs at 15.07.25:

Right, they've finally left, and I got most of the washing up from last night done while they were getting ready, so back out into the field for me - it's gloriously sunny out there, although rather nippy!6 -
Evening MSE chums 😊
Bank from band practice, and the list isn't looking toooooooo bad...
10-12 OUTSIDE IN THE SUNSHINE
✅ Get the rest of the yellow rattle planted in the field
* measure the greenhouse panes and check if I can find the missing plastic one
✅ pot up a couple of reduced plants i bought weeks ago that haven't made it into a planter yet
* replace the hay in the haybox
12-2 FOOD & HOUSE
✅ dinner
* meal plan for the week
* also make plan of what to batch cook and when
✅ get something in the hay box for later
✅ flylady home blessing
2-4 JOB PREP
✅ carry on investigating and writing my massive mega doc
4-7.30 BAND PRACTICE
✅
7.30-8.30 TEA & PREP
✅ tea from haybox
* get food & clothes etc ready for tomorrow
* make sure study is tidy enough to work in
8.30 - WHENEVER MR CHEERY GETS HOME - FREE CHOICE
✅ study shelves?
* banking?
* blog post?
* napping on the sofa??
I didn't use the haybox in the end, made a broccoli bake in the oven, and did a week's worth of granola while I was at it. Just heated some in the microwave for tea, and there's another portion for tomorrow's dinner.
Didn't meal plan, but I've got a few in the freezer now, and I might just repeat the one I did the other week - will check while I'm eating my tea.
I did finish the last screws in the study shelves earlier though 😃 Utterly delighted about this, so I think tonight's activity will be putting the books back on them, or at least as many as will fit. I'm not going to do a big sort, or go for any particular order - main aim is to get them off the floor and wiped free of dust/mouse droppings/whatever other grime they've accumulated during 16 months on an uncarpeted floor in the coldest part of the house 🙄
Not convinced they'll all fit so I'm starting with ones I definitely want to keep, and will see what's left. Proper sort out is a cheerful job for another day!
Spoke to Mr Cheery, he's driven into a bollard in the supermarket car park 😕 He's alright, but the headlamp glass has a massive crack. Fortunately the lights all work, and it seems stable enough after a temporary repair to get him home, but it'll need replacing asap. The list of things that need money spending on them just keeps growing! 🙄6 -
Working at home tomorrow, but around that I want to...
* do ebay return
* workout
* spend 15 mins sorting books. I got the shelves filled today, but not necessarily with the books I want to keep - going to just do 15 mins a day til it's sorted 😊
* 30 mins on job form
* check headlamp and figure out a plan between us4 -
Excuse me de lurking having just finished reading your last 3 diaries - a great read by the way.With regard to the headlight you can sometimes pick such things up from a scrapyard and for convenience if you dont know there are online scrapyards. Just google on line scrapyards and you should find them Most small garages will fit things you bring in. Our garage even got in touch with my dh to get the contact details for somewhere that does parts for our grey import car for another customer who has the same make.5

Seconding the suggestion of online scrappies - you put in the part and they can all quote (presumably only if they have the part!). We've bought from them before.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Thank you both, and yes, that's exactly what we'll be doing, I imagine. I started looking yesterday, but as I hadn't actually seen the car at that point, I didn't really know which part I was looking for 😂 Our garage is pretty good - I imagine they'd be able to find a second hand part if we needed them too.
Lady Holly, have you really read my last 3 diaries?! 😱 That's an awful lot of waffle!! 😱 But I'm glad you caught up and are here now 😁 I'm pondering starting a new diary after I find out about this new job. If I get it, there will be a new budget, probably mortgage OPS starting again, and a need to focus so I don't spend up to the new income. If I don't, I'll likely want to refocus on where I am now, and maybe change some other things since I was getting ants in my pants!
Anyway, first of all I need to get out of bed 🙄 Had a disturbed night - it was the first night back in the same bed as Mr Cheery for a week because of all my snuffling, but apparently I was still snuffling so neither of us was resting much til I decamped to the spare room about 4am 🙄 But I must get up and start work now I suppose, don't want to be working til midnight!5 -
Having a nicely productive day today for once - or at least I was til I got a thumping headache 🙄.
In financial news, all Vinted sales are now complete so I can withdraw my £11.50 😊
And I had an email from the co-op announcing they're not doing rewards anymore, but also telling me that I apparently have £16.93 worth of points to spend! I used to live very close to a co-op, but now rarely go in at all, so that's a nice addition! Will make a note to stock up on something next time I'm close by 😊
Nothing else to report, going to make another cuppa and get back to work for a while.5 -
You are sounding happily busy 😊
I haven’t had that email from the Coop … I will have to keep an eye out for it….
