We've got a relative with form for doing that with stamps. She's sent us 3 cards last year, one with apparently a fake stamp according to Royal Mail, one with no stamp and one with an old stamp. I feel like I should say something now but so far chickened out
she would be mortified I'm sure.

Hello just catching up on life on here. Glad you had a nice day and yellow rattle, oooh one of my faves.
Hope the xmas card was at least NICE and cheerful. x5 -
Pippi! What a joy to have you back in diary land 😊😊😊😊😊
Commiserations to the rest of you with non-rule-following-stamp-using-friends 🙄😂 There will be no demands for payment (although that did make me laugh 😂😂)
I am mostly having an Internet free day but will pop in at the end to report back - but just to say brrrrrr! We have had glorious sunshine and I have spent most of the day outside, and even hung the washing out, but my hands started getting cold thus afternoon, and Mr Cheery just went out in the car and hd to scrape ice off the windscreen! Brrr!
Makes a nice change from the rain though...
Right, off to have a productive evening, back later...7 -
Right now I would LOVE a bit of proper cold as a change from the rain Cheery - it’s persisting it down here yet again, has been since mid afternoon, and the motorway was frankly awash for rather a lot of my journey home!
We got caught out at work with a batch of what turned out to be naughty stamps - we keep getting letters returned to us that were sent out before we realised! 😂 I’m pleased to say that all remaining stamps have now been gathered together and they will not be getting applied to ANY more letters! Oops indeed EH! 🙈
So, a productive but rather tiring day!
HOME
* did flylady weekly home blessing hour
* did a load of washing and even hung it on the line!
* got the recycling out (might not seem like an achievement but we miss it at least every other time 🙄)
* made halloumi stew - ate one portion and put another in the freezer
* made one of the soup mixes someone got us for Christmas, that's in the hay box.
GARDEN & LAND
* Spent most of the day outside, raking grass off the hay field. Didn't finish - got completely worn out about 3pm. Long cut grass is a LOT heavier when it's wet 😂
FINANCES
* I haven't left home, and have had my second NSD of the year!
* set up standing order from the current account for the regular saver
* started the next bank switch
* reconciled YNAB - annoyingly in the flurry of Christmas and switching to a new budget for the new year, I'd missed that the money for Mr Cheery's laptop hadn't gone out 🙄 Very annoying.
* a nice surprise - interest arrived for the Ecology easy access saver. It baffled me for a minute - but £118.53 was a nice addition today!
* Got round to putting 3 things on Vinted, and one of them has sold already! 😃 Just £3. Will post when we nip into town tomorrow.
HEALTH
* So. Much. Raking. 😂😂
* ate well today
CAREER
* Made a folder with lists of everything I need to investigate for the new job. Need to spend a decent wodge of time on this over the next few days.
OTHER THINGS
* rationalised activities next week - with one thing and another i was going to be in the city 6 days in a row, with 2 overnight stays 😮 A recipe for madness, especially in my first week back to work.
* Not sure there are any other things today, that's quite enough! 😂😂7 -
Hope your shoulders and arms aren’t too stiff this morning Cheery! A very productive day!
Glad to see you’ve gone with it with vinted - sorry I didn’t reply, niece all day yesterday - was shattered when she, Sis and Mum (who’d all come for dinner) left.Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Ooh, I've woken up to another Vinted sale 😃 £6 this time, so £9 in total, and two things gone from my wardrobe. One a dress I bought from a charity shop in covid when the changing rooms weren't open, and which has never looked good, so I've never worn it. The other a monsoon coat (also charity shop) which I adore, but which is 2 sizes too big, and just looks frumpy on me, so I've only ever worn it once and spent the whole day feeling self conscious.
Both parcelled up, and ready for posting - although annoyingly they need to go to two different places as people can choose how they want them posted, and both have done collection from different types of lockers 😂 Can do both without printing though. Will see how I get on (and try to post the right ones to the right places!)9 -
One posted, and annoyingly the other one didn't have space in the locker! Online it said there was 'limited space' but that turned out to be none 🙄 Most vexing, as there isn't another place in that town. So it'll have to wait til Tuesday, when I'm near another place near work.6

i hate that with those lockers.. We had a local one that was always full and now has been moved completely! This does put me off using vintedDON'T BUY STUFF (from Frugalwoods)
No seriously, just don’t buy things. 99% of our success with our savings rate is attributed to the fact that we don’t buy things... You can and should take advantage of discounts.... But at the end of the day, the only way to truly save money is to not buy stuff. Money doesn’t walk out of your wallet on its own accord.
