I had the timer on the oven! I even checked part way through 😂 The oven had gone off as planned, I'd just underestimated how hot it was going to get 😂
Ceiling is painted!! Hooray!! Very pleased about that - one step closer to moving into the new bedroom 😊😊
Made a curry in the end, nothing else. Bag packed for tomorrow, lunch and snacks ready, clothes chosen.
Settling down with Call the Midwife now 😊15 -
My squash was better than your squash!! 😂😂😜 (and before anyone thinks I’m being unkind, Cheery and I had already had a conversation about our relative success levels on cooking butternut squash this evening!)

What a shame about the squash. Have to admit I don't usually bother roasting it before making things with it. Just cook it without whatever I'm making so most of the time it's simmered in something, either stock or chopped tomatoes usually!

I use my Alexa as a timer - but don’t bother cooking squash first 🤣Sealed pot challenge 822

I just really like roasted squash - it's lovely in a risotto and gives a nice bit of texture. Not that it did me any good yesterday! 😂😂10

I love the skin when it's roasted and all crispy at the edges! Looks like your oven was a bit fierce though. Mine seems to go from not cooked to burnt alive in the blink of an eye too, or maybe I lose track of time? One of life's mysteries.9
