Thank you for all your good wishes 😊4 -
Hope you are feeling better real soon Cheery x
Found the shop in Drummond Street next to Euston today and came home with 6 samosas and some walnut halva. Couldn't help but copy you as you were raving about them on here. Thanks for the heads up they are both delicious and the samosas are huge.

Ooh, glad you made it edwink, how funny! I stuck one in the freezer, but I confess the remaining one might go in the bin - I've just remembered it's been in my rucksack since Wednesday night (I was going to take it to work for lunch on Thursday 🙄)5

EH, I hope I didn't give it to YOU in our unexpected impromptu meeting the other night! 😁 So funny to discover you were meeting a mutual friend 10 mins walk from my hotel 😂 Although I now feel I should have just completely quarantined myself 😱
Still in bed 🙄 Taken the day off, and just been lying here snoozing and watching rubbish TV 😂 Aside from shivering and coughing and generally feeling rubbish, it's been great 😂
Going to venture forth for a bath shortly - I feel the need to be somewhere other than bed before it's time to get back in bed again 🙄 Mr Cheery has valiantly gone forth to forage for treats and medicines in town - we are staying as far apart as possible (quite easy in this house - we've both managed to have covid without the other one getting it, in my case twice 🙄).
Going to see how tonight goes, but I can't imagine I'll be going to visit Mr Cheery Snr tomorrow - last thing he needs is anything chesty 🙄
Right, must get up and run the bath, make another drink, take some tablets, and ring Mr Cheery to request bran flakes (my poorly food of choice 😂)Live the good life where you have been planted.

Just got caught up. Sorry you are so poorly. Rest, medication and time will hopefully help 🤗Live the good life where you have been planted.

Thanks 😊
I did sleep better last night 😊 Still woke a few times, but had a couple of uninterrupted 3-4 hour stints. Not up yet, but not shivery and feverish this morning, which is a good start!
Going to venture forth and have some breakfast. Actually feeling a bit peckish which is a considerable improvement.
Might attempt some time in the living room today! Been in bed for over 70 hours now (aside from infrequent loo trips and 2 baths) so it's about time 😱
Not promising I'm going to get dressed, mind you 😂6 -
(Actually, it's 60 hours not 70, but that's still quite a long time 😂)6

Good to hear you've at least bottomed out, Cheery. How's your dad?2023: the year I get to buy a car4

Well, so much for a more lively day 🙄 I got up to get breakfast at 9am and have been in bed ever since 🙄
However, Mr Cheery is going out shortly, so I'm going to have a bath then relocate to the sofa for a while, and have the luxury of using my own laptop 😂 I've felt well enough to do about £5 worth of surveys today 😂 so I might even attempt a bit of YNAB reconciliation!
Won't go as far as doing anything with the new accounts,not sure my head is up to that much 🙄😂 But doing YNAB won't mess anything but YNAB up, and I can always sort that out later.
Going to lay out some clothes for tomorrow, as much as I'm enjoying lazing around in bed I think it would be beneficial to at least get dressed tomorrow, even if all I then do is sit in bed...
No word from my dad - I've sent him a message but not had a response yet, so no idea whether he's home or still in there. I'm sure I'll find out eventually 🙄 I might message his sister at some point to see if she knows - we're not hugely close on that side of the family and can go months without speaking so it's not a given that he will have told her 🙄
Right, getting up to run the bath.7 -
Well I can't say I got any more lively, but I did have a bath, wash my hair, and make a smoothie, which had considerably more nutrition than anything else I've eaten for the last 3 days so that's an improvement!
Got on the sofa after the bath and I've been there ever since. Mr Cheery eventually decided to stay with our friends overnight as originally planned, after I'd done a - negative - covid test and convinced him I really wasn't planning on dying during the night 🙄 Fortunately I stuck to my plan, although I didn't sleep very well 😂 So I'm now going to relocate to the bed again.
Gosh, my diary is a thrill a minute right now, isn't it? I just don't know how you're managing to keep up with all the excitement 🙄
Still didn't do YNAB, but for old time's sake (and because I really would like to attempt to ease myself back into work on Monday) let's have a list...
6.15 - 10 REST
* back to bed for more sleeping
* Mr Cheery will likely ring at some point to check I'm still alive, so I might get up and have a cuppa at that point
After that
* wholesome breakfast
* get dressed!
* put some washing on - going to need stuff for our trip and it'll need time to dry
* YNAB reconciliation
* gather all bank switching post that's arrived and check against my list of what I'm expecting
* start writing a packing list for the trip
I think that's probably enough. Not much actual activity or brain power required, but might get me out of the loop of lazing around watching TV I've gotten into. Not been a bad thing, but I'm definitely feeling the need to spend a bit more of my time vertical today. Might even venture up the drive for a bit of fresh air! But we'll see about that.
Bed first though!6
