Yep, Tuesday 😊
Sadly too late for Sunshine chicken, who died this afternoon 😕 We took her to the vets last week but they couldn't find anything wrong with her. Had a follow up appointment yesterday which we cancelled earlier in the week as she looked fine, but she took a turn for the worse today. Mr Cheery took her to the vets, but she died on the way home. He's distraught - she died in the travel crate, he didn't manage to get her home to her beaky pals 😕😕😕 Obviously the vet didn't think she was necessarily in imminent danger, she was still pottering and eating at the surgery, but this is going to haunt him for a long time I think 😕
I'm on the way home from the conference now. It's been a good few days, marred by this afternoon's events of course - felt quite powerless stuck over here 😕 But there was no point me going home early - he decided to stick to his plans for the evening so won't be home til well after me anyway.
I had to choose between going to the loo or catching my train - I chose the train, and annoyingly it's a little local one without a loo on, or any snacks 😠 So I'll be crossing my legs for the next hour and hoping we don't go over too many bumps!7 -
Oh, and the plumber came this morning, but I have no idea whether he's actually fixed the boiler as when I finally spoke to Mr Cheery we were rather occupied with other matters. So all fingers crossed he's fixed it and we can at least have a nice cosy evening, although I'm not holding my breath 🙄5

Oh Cheery. I'm so sorry to hear that! Poor Mr Cheery. I would be distraught too!
Glad your conference went well though. Hopefully you'll find a loo asapGoals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2005 -

Thank you all xxx Yes, it's awful when you lose one, and this was an awful situation 😕 I'm only sorry I wasn't there too 😕
On a lighter note - the heating does seem to be working! No idea how much that's going to cost us, we can only hope less than a new boiler 🙄
Had an LPG delivery yesterday - we still had about 20% left I think, so it'll only cost £762, at the end of May. There's already £696 in the LPG pot, so I'll just top it up with another £75, and the extra £95 that I would have put in next month can go towards the plumber's bill.
Hopefully won't need another top up til the autumn now.5 -
