Ooh, more lovely visitors! Welcome, and thank you all for your concern! Greenbee, I would be getting annoyed with the freeglers too!
Delighted to report a large happy wheel win tonight, so I'm ending the month £496 up 😱😱 very pleased with that!! It's gone straight in the plastering-the-stairs fund 😁
Need to transfer £15 OP to the mortgage, but not right now.
Cheerful day at work, despite a dentist trip in the middle. Free parking spot 😁 always a bonus 😁
Laptop is playing up. I suspect old (maybe bought around 2014??) but Mr Cheery's is exactly same model bought at the same time and is fine, so... He insists it's because he never does any updates, runs CC cleaner every time he turns it off, whereas I store thousands of photos, never empty cache etc 🙄I imagine he's right, but that's not really helping. Deleted the vast majority if my photos and videos, installed all new updates, forced the text direction the right way round restarted about a million times - and it's still glitchy. Most vexing.
At this point it's almost completely useless. Can't type without my words coming out in random orders, can't select things on screen. Can't press the enter key, or delete. Need to do a thorough shake for stray crumbs, and check if an external mouse/keyboard improves things, but right now I'm heading for throwing the whole thing out the window 🙄
Hey ho. Need to retrieve my roasted parsnip soup from the hay box, then it's got to be time for bed I reckon!9 -
Afternoon MSE chums.
Sad news to report here - we found Poppy chicken dead in the garden yesterday ☹ Still no idea what happened, they were all just pottering about just half an hour before. There was no sign of a struggle, she just had a bloody neck, so at least it seemed quick, and it may be that she had a heart attack or something, and then later a stoat bit her. The others didn't seem too distressed, although two of them had gone into the hen house so they were obviously a bit spooked.
So we had to have a chicken burial last night - not ideal as I'd just picked our friend up from the airport when we found her. Then my sister arrived for a couple of days of chicken sitting while we go to a wedding 😕 Very glad we were still there when it happened, but still very sad all round. She'll be leaving them shut in the run while we're away.
Anyway, driving up to Scotland now - just had a tasty lunch at Tebay services and now I am in the back of the car - haven't been in the back of the car for years 😂11
