I don't Tilly tidy either - I round down the mortgage each month to the 00 at the end to get rid of the small pennies and pounds. My larger OP will restart next year but those smaller payments have kept it changing for the good.Mortgage restart June 2018 £119950Re mortgage August 19 £110470, … Mortgage November 22 £85600 final 0% CC 3300Home renovations - £65000, mid 2018 - mid 20223

Ha, we do still use cash sometimes round here! 😂 village shop will only take cards for over £5 😂
Moneyfordreams - that's an interesting way of doing it, rounding the mortgage rather than the bank account.
Thank you all, interesting suggestions 😊
We've been to the tip, with about 3 months worth of glass bottles 🙄 a giant tangle of barbed wire, a broken old office chair, and the bedraggled remains of a ripped tent (with all pegs and ropes kept for future use). Had a quick egg butty in a cafe while we were out - not sure how frugal September is looking 🙄
Bumped into neighbour on the way back, and he later brought someone else strong round with a trailer to fetch the piano we're giving to his daughter. Sadly I hadn't realised quite how slippy the front steps were 😱 Fortunately no harm done to the piano (!) but neighbour has a nasty scrape down his arm. He informs me that, as a farmer, this is a perfectly normal state of affairs but I do still feel guilty 😕
Lentil soup made and in the hay box. Chickens confused, as I shut them in when the neighbour turned up (chickens trying to get in the house while people are lifting heavy objects is a recipe for disaster). Let them out again now and they seem most bemused 😂
Not quite sure what to do next now, so I've settled for having a nice cup of tea 😂😂5 -

I've never been a TT'er either, I never use my debit card, so once the direct debits come out there aren't any more transactions for the rest of the month. Plus, because I save as much as I can on payday, there's literally no slack available!Mortgage start: £65,495 (March 2016)
Cleared 🧚♀️🧚♀️🧚♀️!!! In 5 years, 1 month and 29 days
Total amount repaid: £72,307.03. £1.10 repaid for every £1.00 borrowed
Finally earning interest instead of paying it!!!5 -

I've never Tilly Tidied in the traditional sense. One of our joint bank accounts does 'save the change' - rounding up card transactions to the next while £ and transferring that to a different account. I liked round amounts on my mtge account- so would always make sure the interest figure odds at least were op-ed to keep it a round amount - I don't care whether any of the c/acs are round amounts or not 😁😁I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £203

Ha - I never even considered making the mortgage amount a round amount!
So. I did get some things done last night, although inevitably not all. Washing machine rust has had two coats of enamel paint now, and will likely need at least another one, maybe two.
I've got a split pea dahl in the hay box, although what it will taste like is anyone's guess, as I proper burnt it to the bottom of the pan while I was waiting for the kettle to boil 🙄 Still, waste not want not - at that point the only thing I was adding was water so might as well bung it in and see how it goes. It'll have a few hours as we're off to a little art festival to see a friend who's exhibiting her work.
Not much else to report. Happy Wheel was up £13 yesterday, down £12 today, so still in very minus numbers for September 🙄 Most annoying.
Timed my shower this morning, down to 4 minutes, including a hair wash. Showers are much quicker since I started using an epilator rather than a razor on my legs 😮😂 still uses energy, but I'm sure not half as much as the shower 😂
Mr Cheery's hat still isn't finished but it's getting there.
Nit been out in the field today yet - I got sidetracked by the washing machine and hay box and now Mr Cheery is up and we're going out in a minute. Will report back later.4 -
A positive from my chemo is that I haven't had to shave my legs or underarms since late April/ early May! 🤣🤣 I've got the merest hint of regrowth on my legs - less than a pre-chemo day's worth and it's soft, not stubble- it's been like that for a few weeks and not grown, so I'm leaving it - I have a wedding to go to in 3 weeks and I may shave them then if it's got longer - if not I will leave them for the Winter, as I will be in trousers/ jeans for the duration by then anyway (my legs weren't overly hairy anyway, nor was the hair particularly dark) I shall view it as a money saving exercise!! 😂😁😂I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £208

Ha, nice reframing there greent, well done 😊 I confess I am an epilator convert. My hair is thick and dark and gets stubble after a few hours, which is really annoying. With the epilator it grows back soft, so I can leave it a week or even two 😂 Of course at that point it definitely needs doing 🙄 but hasn't been annoying me being all stubble in the meantime 😂
Well, today is turning out quite cheerfully, but not really as planned! Went over to see friend at the arts festival - her partner was there too, and one of his friends, and we ended up staying the whole afternoon sitting around chatting.
They're going to someone's house for tea, and we contemplated going to a restaurant, before joining them at the pub later... but decided to come home instead - an extra 10 mins drive each way, but worth it, as we've been able to eat my split pea dahl from the haybox and defrosted some of the frozen rice mountain 😁
Mr Cheery is very keen to go back out later, so I'm trying to have enough loafing time to make me actually feel like going out later 🙄😂
In the office tomorrow, as I have a 90 min dentist appointment later afternoon (unless it's cancelled for a fourth time, that is!) 🙄4
