Potternerd said:Yesterday, after a bit of a lean spell, I found a beautiful Dennis Basso faux fur, knee length coat. It’s black astrakhan style with fluffier grey faux fur collar and cuffs. It’s beautifully made and warm as toast reduced from £20 to £10 in the posh hospice shop. I googled Dennis Basso and he does a lot of real fur (ick) but this is defo synthetic.6

Called into the 20p shop in Otley today to get out of the torrential rain. Nothing of interest in the glass/china/books/cards/bric a brac etc, then my hand fell on some gorgeous quality black fabric on the teeny tiny rail of clothing. It was only a pair of black Reiss ladies trousers in my size! Formal stylee with two pleats each side at the front and flapped pockets at the back, (pockets still stitched), tapered legs, fully lined and with the plastic tags still on. Pretty sure they have never been worn and they fit me perfectly. Cannot believe I only paid 20p for them!!!! Most Reiss trousers are around the £80 - £100 mark....still stunned.19

What a bargain @Miró
4 books at £1 each for my from Sue Ryder, including an unread hardback, and one about the women of Greek myths, a Nick Spalding and a dystopian type one too. Very happy with that lot.
The Yorkshire Cancer charity provided me with a textured plant pot at £3, two glass votive jars at 50p each, and a set of 4 mini plant pots for £2.
I plan on upcycling the glass and the mini pots.
Not a bad haul for £10 totalWealth is not measured by currency7 -
I am trying to be a bit selective in my charity shop spending, purchasing mainly things I have in my 'head list', however I couldn't resist a lovely teal coloured thick and soft Cotton Seasalt top. It's just my thing and only cost £3 in the local Red Cross. It's got pockets too, which are always handy for putting random things in!
@Miró what a bargain with the trousers - excellent find! I am wearing a pair of trousers today, nowhere near as posh as yours, but they are M and S, soft, comfy and smart, and I got them or either £2 or £1 from the Red Cross shop a few years ago. They wash and dry so well too. I love it when you find something that's just perfect and is cheap as chips!Ermutigung wirkt immer besser als Verurteilung.

Severn Hospice CS in Bridgnorth today, Tommy Hilfiger ladies heavy weight cardigan in charcoal. £8 BNWT. Just looked it up online £80. I debated buy or not to buy. Glad I did. It will definitely keep the cold at bay.9

A couple of resisted items to report here! A white M&S fleece - I have plenty of sweatshirts that fill the same slot - and some black chords (I already have black cords). I'm quite pleased with this as I need more space not more things.I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)
