The WA saga is still ongoing. Even the guy in the shop was stumped. He eventually had to admit defeat when WA blocked us from doing anything else for 48 minutes
He has advised us to get in contact with WA directly as they can usually sort it out manually. Fingers crossed as this whole thing is my fault apparently, due to the fact I told her that she could upgrade her phone solving her memory problems (ie her phone had no memory left), and getting more data (and at a cheaper cost for me!) I have definitely earned my "worst mother in the world" trophy this week!!!

Oh dear starnac! I am quite sure you are NOT the worst mother in the world 😂 I do hope it can all get sorted soon xx1

Oh dear - the drama. And of COURSE it's all your fault - that's surely what Mums are for when you're a teenager? It's only once you get a bit older that you realise all the OTHER things Mums are for! Hopefully you can get some success with WA sorting it directly!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Still no WA success. We are definitely going to go right to the source this evening as 1. I can't stand the complaining anymore and 2. I am paying both contracts until she can move it over to her new phone and port the number over. Only then can I cancel her old contract so I need to do that this evening!
September is turning out to be an expensive month. House insurance and DH car insurance is due (money in pots for those) plus DH's car is back in the garage. It may be time to start looking for a new one for him but to be honest we just don't have the money for one. He is picking his car up from the garage today so will find out how much it cost this time. Fingers crossed it's the lower end of the estimate they gave us.
I'm popping over to see my mum today. She had a scare recently where she was confused and disorientated. Went to the doctor and had a brain scan, blood tests etc and it turns out it was just a water infection. So antibiotics for that and it cleared. I think she was afraid she was either going to die or was getting dementia like her dad. It's given her a bit of a kick up the backside which I am grateful for as lately she just sits in the house doing nothing. My sister and I have tried to invite her out or over to mine or whatever and she has shown no interest in anything. However, this "episode" has made her re think her life choices. She's going back to her craft groups, and she's taken up knitting again which she used to love. She's currently making things for her craft group's Christmas fair, so I'm taking over some stuffing for her to give them shape. Another thing decluttered while encouraging my mum. Yay!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2002 -
Oh what a scare for your Mum - and you come to that - I'm glad that it appears to have had the effect of making her value the things she can do a bit more too. Infections re funny things in the effects they can have.
Fingers crossed for the car being better news than you are fearing!🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

Bit of a busy day today although looking back I can't quite put my finger on what I've done if you know what I mean?
I headed over to one of the churches I work for to drop off some booklets I've made for their junior church to work through, got caught chatting to some of the women there at a coffee morning which was nice but took some time. Then I headed over to my mum's to drop off some toy stuffing for her knitting. I spent about 2 hours there chatting to my mam and sharing biscuits with my brother's dogI took a whole bag of stuffing and she was so pleased. She said she's going to take it to her craft class on Monday to see if anyone else wants some. One more bag out of the house for me. Woohoo!!
I came home via HB, they didn't have what I needed as they were in the middle of moving all their garden/outdoor stuff to make room for Christmas stuff! I did pick up some nice smellies and some chocolate for a friend's birthday, and a sympathy card for another friend who lost her husband yesterday. It was coming and they were both in their 80's but it's still a bit of a shock for her.
I ended up in the garden centre eventually to get what I needed. I had an hour before I had to be home for the kids so I had a wander around which felt very decedent! Returning home I headed outside to do some jobs while the sun was out. Still more to do but hopefully the weather will hold off for a few more days. Once the kids were home and had chatted about their days, one headed upstairs to her room while the other played computer games on the TV while I got some work done. Piano lessons followed then tea.
They are both upstairs now and DH is at college so I've put the dishwasher on which is pushing it as we are losing the light here but I wanted to wash their lunchboxes ready for tomorrow.
We borrowed the shredder from church (although DH seems to think it is actually ours and we took it there and never brought it back) and we've been shredding all the paper we've collected up from sorting through the files in the office. I'm currently taking a break as it's starting to overheat so I'm catching up with a bit more work and browsing on here.
DH's car is back from the garage but we were like passing ships so I haven't actually had chance to chat with him about cost etc. We'll do that once he's home later.
Right, I still have a bit more work to do before I can call it a night. My fault really for not doing much during the day today!Goals for FebruaryDeclutter 2/50Money Made £0/£200Overpayments £0/£2001
