Logically I would suspect Boots will wait until the remaining restrictions lift at the end of the month. As I've said before, the Boot's sale is unlike other sales and they have to be sensible about the level of footfall it generates.

That said, by the time it eventually happened last year everyone had forgotten about it and lost interest so when it did happen, there was plenty left in mine for a good few day, even when it got to 90% off.

Quite a bit left in mine still at the moment too, but not what I'd call exciting. A few odd bits I'd get for myself but I feel most of my family have had their share of Boots Christmas gifts over the years. I'd rather look for something a bit different now and I think alot of people feel the same. Tbh, there's bigger bargains to be had elsewhere anyway.

On another note, I'm pleased that Boots have cut back on the amount of plastic in their 2021 Christmas range and made the packaging more practical. Nice to see some eco-friendly gifts available too.

Oh no so sorry to hear that.  No not heard anything, I did think they would leave it until after Valentine's Day,  things have changed since Covid, it really could be anytime.

  • Was in my local Boots today, which isn't a small store,  and since I last went in about 6 weeks ago, there was a lot less stock, before there was loads of the FCUK  Body spray sets, couldn't see any today, unless they have put them back with the normal everyday stock. I asked a shop assistant if she knew if they were going to reduce again to 70% like they normally do, she said they havn't been told anything, I said so you don't think it could be possibly tomorrow and she said she hasn't been told, and it's up to the manager.
  • It's been rumoured the sale will be boosted next week, no firm date though, someone said possibly Monday but don't know where they heard that from, hopefully hear something nearer.

    From Martin's weekly newsletter:
High Street Sales: Top Sales on Now - MoneySavingExpert

MoneySavers have been asking us when the Boots* sale will boost from up to 50% off to up to 70% off, and we've heard rumours it could happen next week. Of course, Boots is keeping schtum, but we'll update you here when we know more.

Why do we think it's happening soon?

In 2021, due to lockdowns, the boost didn't happen until Tue 27 Apr. In 2020, the sale boosted on Fri 31 Jan to up to 70% off, then on Fri Mar 6 boosted to up to 90% off. As we've now passed the boost date from 2020, rumours are circulating that the 2022 sales boost could start next week, from Mon 14 Mar to Fri 18 Mar, so we think it's likely to start soon.

Usually the sale boost is instore only, and includes leftover Christmas gift sets from the likes of No7, Soap & Glory, Ted Baker, and more - so we expect to see discounts on similar items this year.
