Sometimes not found out until the site went down at midnight. But don't think it's been online the last few years has it? Maybe they won't announce it as they don't want the big crowds.

The sight going down after midnight was the way I used to check if it was definitely on, but as you say things have been different.  I remember one year someone went past a Boots store the night before on their way home from work and they were changing the signs over to the 70% and they were kind enough to share. I think you could be right about the crowds, after all things have been different with Covid.

Yep, those were the days 😂 If they don't let us know I'm not messing around making the journey incase it isn't on. It's a bus and train journey from here to nearest big store.

That is quite a travel for you. I am beginning to think it is getting late in the day without hearing anything now, lots of the press pages were speculating on it being tomorrow some said or early February.  If I hear anything will post.

That's how it's been for quite a few years. I seem to remember it used to be 75% before it was changed to 70%

I was going to say still 50%. Went this morning picked up a couple of bits I want just in case I miss the 70% but we don’t have a lot left in our small store

I looked in my local store yesterday and there wasn't anything that interested me apart from a very pretty Eden Project canvas bag, reduced from £8.50 to £4.25.
It wasn't worth hanging on for the small difference between 50% and 70% so I bought it.
