It was worth hanging on for the small difference between 50% and 70% so I bought it.

I did that a couple of weeks back, and got a Mr.Grumpy Mug at the 50% off for my Son (A running joke)  as you just don't know what is going to happen this year.

I remember the days a staff member would let you know if you asked.  It's extremely quiet if it is tomorrow, would have normally heard something by now, we will see.  

Sometimes not found out until the site went down at midnight. But don't think it's been online the last few years has it? Maybe they won't announce it as they don't want the big crowds.

The sight going down after midnight was the way I used to check if it was definitely on, but as you say things have been different.  I remember one year someone went past a Boots store the night before on their way home from work and they were changing the signs over to the 70% and they were kind enough to share. I think you could be right about the crowds, after all things have been different with Covid.

Wanted to share some of my Facebook memories
 that keep reminding me of the good out days,
when we all knew it was the 3rd Wednesday in January,

And…

We all stayed up Tuesday night/ Wednesday early hours,
 chatting away on hundreds of pages, trying to keep up with convo
while refreshing boots page waiting for their “Error Message Page” to disappear……
.
Then we all had 5-10 mins before chatting again as it had crashed

Then…… getting ready to get front of the que in the freezing cold winter weather 🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️

😵‍💫🛒😂We were all CRAZY 😂😂😂

Haha onredbull, that made me laugh reading all of that, spent many a cold January morning waiting outside Boots. No idea yet about this year.

Had a look this morning and still showing as 50%. The only way to see the change is if it goes thru the till as half the time the staff in my little store don’t even know it has gone to 70%

Maybe tomorrow then? I saw a few days ago on twitter Boots replied to someone who asked about the sale and they said to keep an eye on the website 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yes it could change day and catch us out, I seem to think they said  the day was changed to Friday because it clashed with another instore promotion.
