Exciting day today!
Spent £19.57 (added to signature budget) and then went for a walk with a friend. She drove us out of the city and mentioned a wholesaler that she goes to. I was very excited to hear about this, especially while in a car which opened up possibilities, and so we went there.
It’s all close to/over date stuff and sold in bulk but blimey! I got
12 x 200g packs of ground coffee for £6
2 boxes of chocs for £2
5 bars of choc for £1.505 boxes of choc biscuits £2.50
8 boxes of oatcakes for £2
10kg pasta for £4
Seaweed snacks for £1
8x2l lemonade for £2
8 jars of peanut butter for £3
grand total of £24 and it’s all stuff that will keep and keep (well… maybe the chocs won’t…) I’m astonished!Grocery Challenge

Wow Eskarina, that is amazing!
I seem to have become a bit confused with adding my spends, but after getting fruit and veg at the market yesterday there is £35 left in my purse, and enough money in the envelope to pay back what I spent on the cc, so I'm going with that. Still eating mainly out of the freezer and cupboards and using up what was bought or made around Christmas. Friday night's treat was a couple of mince pies and a glass of Baileys.

Wow! that's amazing @leftatthetrafficlights. What will you do with the excess from the GC? Do you move it to another category or just round up to your budget for next month or just add in your new amount?7

I’ve had a couple of spends at Mr T over the last few days. £48.48 added. That is me for this month. I’ve come in under budget and made a dent in our overflowing freezers 🎉
February GC £26.68/£2506 -
I absolutely won’t need anything tomorrow since the milk was on my click and collect order today so I’m going to declare myself done for January. Done and dusted with a mere £5.16 remaining. I’m not adding a bulk fund for February so not going to swipe this off to another pot as planned but instead I’ll leave this to carry forward instead.First month in a few that I’ve been able to stay under budget and whilst I’m still not 100% it’s accurate due to the start of the month having the fall over from Christmas, I’m taking it as a win for many other smaller reasons.Another £300 for Feb will tell us how accurate January was 😌Here i am again.... Older but not any wiser!

I've got one more shop to do and £57.43 left. I should be able to do it as my meal plan uses lots from the freezer. I was going to say fingers crossed I stay within budget, but of course good planning and a proper shopping list should cut out the need for fingers crossed type luck!6
