6 months according to Carwow, but I know from talking to my local dealer that non EVs are being delayed slightly more to focus on the Enyaqs.
  • Ordered in February, still no word on mine. Shambles

There was a thread back in July where the purchaser was expecting their Skoda in November and then gone out to 52-weeks:

The best thing the OP can do is to ask their supplying dealer.

I suspect, though, with a shortage of chips, VAG group would prioritise the higher-value vehicles (Bentley, Porsche, Lambo) thus maximising the turnover and financial return on each chip over the more run-of-the-mill choices.

TommyRez243 have you heard anything from skoda.
My partner ordered one in July and was told end of September delivery then November and then beginning of December told the factory had the order so car would be available early January but now she's been told skoda don't do the colour or engine size she's ordered. How can a car that was supposed to have been made 3 weeks ago now not be available ?
  • My situation is a bit complicated…

I contacted Skoda a few months ago and they told me my order hadn’t been placed by the dealership until jun (when I had placed the order with the leasing company in feb). If this info is accurate, the dealership wasted 4 months and finally placed the order when I should have been in my car.
More recently when I have spoken with Skoda, they have been told by management “not to share any information about customer orders” and told  me any order-specific information has to be provided by the leasing company - So something absolutely stinks about the whole situation…
Škoda are a shambles to deal with, the leasing company are avoiding the point regarding when the dealership they work with actually placed the order (possible pandering with a fear of upsetting their business relationship? Who knows…)

It’s a desperately frustrating situation and one that is an absolute headache to get to the bottom of.

I think a dealer is the last person I would expect to tell you the correct answer. Especially a salesman at the dealership.

That same scenario could arise if it was the leasing company that failed to place the order with the dealership - the dealership may have acted promptly by placing the order in June.

I can't see that a dealership has anything to gain by delaying placing an order.  The lease company may have been working to normal time-frames and ordering as late as they can but early enough to receive the vehicle in time (based on normal lead times) may assist the lease company cashflow...
