I thought about it, but then my company changed their minds and I'm now getting a replacement company car rather than an allowance.Jenni x0

At the time of your OP, there were several very keen lease deals from Skoda - they seem to be no more.
I thought you'd mentioned at some point that your vehicle was due for November?
Though, calculating that from the OP, you could be eagerly awaiting delivery next week or so, a little earlier than thought?0 -
Hence my post. Now quoted at 52 weeks for delivery!Grumpy_chap said:At the time of your OP, there were several very keen lease deals from Skoda - they seem to be no more.

My new company car is estimated at Feb/Mar 2022 delivery (awaiting confirmation) - and I thought that was bad!Jenni x0 -
Your lead time should be based on what was stated at the time of the order.lju said:

There are, of course, supply issues with all types of cars at the moment so some movement may not be unreasonable, but a year is a long time.
Perhaps they are just stating something very long either just to cover themselves, or realising this is a very competitive price offered and hoping you'll cancel and then they can sell the car to a higher bidder.
Is it possible that VAG need the same limited components for all their cars and, given the choice, they'd rather fit that chip into a higher-yielding Bentley or Porsche rather than a Skoda or Seat? Just a possibility...
I kind of agree, but actually, I think car lead times have always been long and the JIT manufacturing has never worked with the smoothness that is reported. When we ordered my Mum's Jazz, it was about this time in October (I remember because I was in Spain doing the order confirmation) and the car was stated for 1st January delivery. It actually arrived with the new "16" plate at the beginning of March. Obviously all that was not influenced by any political events or global crises.Jenni_D said:😲

Ours is built and should be with us in the next couple of weeks. I hope it's worth the wait!1

Thanks for updating, OP, and I hope you enjoy the car when it arrives. Certainly no deals as keen as yours now.1

Went into a VW dealer yesterday. Lead time is now 12 months minimum. Depending on the precise spec possibly longer.lju said:Ours is built and should be with us in the next couple of weeks. I hope it's worth the wait!
Today a Ford dealer. Minimum 6 months. Dealers are not taking orders for the Ford Focus at all.
Used vehicle prices are as a consequence rocketing. With some low mileage used cars selling at above retail list price for new.

Been like this a while. Not all VW cars are 12 months though. Depends on the model.Thrugelmir said:

VW sources parts made in factories in the Ukraine. Supply chain disruption. To add to the other existing woes.iwb100 said:
