Excess mileage charge on my deal is 3p .
So, with this deal, 8k miles per year, two years cost £4,150 = £173 per month all in.

Say someone did a really high mileage, 48k per year.  They'd pay extra for the 40k miles at 3 pence per mile = £1,200 per year.  Makes the all-in cost over two years £6,550 = £273 per month all in.

Still silly cheap.  Perhaps I got the maths wrong?

I have leased two cars in my life, just because I could I enjoyed them and it suited me at the time and just because I could.  Sometimes it is nice to do just for a change, since those two cars I have bought salvage and had it repaired and that suits me fine, and I can then run them until they drop.

Bought the missus the Kamiq and the thing I forgot to factor in was the lack of miles she is doing just now.  Seven months in and the car has only done 1,200 miles so not looking too smart.

That's correct. If there's no tiered excess charge, and VWFS doesn't have it, you can do as many miles, as you want and pay excess. Some leasing companies have tiered excess, for example 10% over agreed mileage at certain price and then anything else at higher price.

VWFS offers 3-3.6p excess for 1.0l engines. If excess is higher, it means car is financed by someone else.

Personal car Lease £152.82inc VAT per month
    Initial rental: £152.82 inc VAT
    Total price: £4067.66 inc VAT

The SE model was even cheaper than that when I ordered the SE L .
  • You probably have to check on WhatCar or other website to find current cheapest. I stopped checking them, have one lease and second on order, so no need to read them for next 18 months.

I'd never heard of the Skoda Scala before this thread.  I just happened to see one and it is virtually indistinguishable from the A3.  Very MSE.

My lease car (company car) ends its lease in a few months. After that I'll be going on to an allowance rather than getting a new company car, so threads like this are starting to interest me. :)

WOW - I just looked at this again.  A month ago the cheapest Car Wow lease for the Scala was the SE model £107 per month.  Today the same vehicle £148 per month.  Forty percent more!

It's yet another roll of the MQB platform dice, with generic VAG styling - but it's the smaller A0 Polo 2nd Generation version also under the Audi A1, not the Golf/Octavia versions that are also under the A3.

It's really not much more than a namechange for the old Rapid to go with a new model, an ever so slightly larger Fabia.

The old 2013-2020 A3 was on the Golf 7 1st Generation MQB, the new version is on the 3rd Generation MQB Evo, same as the Golf 8.

Did anyone else order one of these? If so do you have a build date yet? And where did you order it from?
