Small claims court

ASO? And I only got forms today to say if I would agree to do mediation first. The first letter was back in may this yr.0
-
That doesn't help us. Please tell us what 'forms' and exactly what 'letter' you mean.
As for AOS, that's one of the acronyms explained in NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST, the thread you must read before posting about any court claim. It answers your questions about the court process, in the second post. Acronyms are in the 5th post.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

So you got a court claim (form N1) this week?
What's the Issue Date on it and when did you do the AOS, as explained with page by page pictures in NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST?PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

That does not work! Unlikely that you received the PCN and the N1 court claim form in the same month, plus on your previous post you say you "only got the forms today" (20 December!). Are you sure it is a N1 form you got then and not a N180 - DQ especially if you are talking about mediation?Dannie23 said:Ok will do that ,sorry .the small claims court forms and the first invoice from the parking company was back in may

So the form I trcivrd was notice of proposed allocation to small clams form was a N1801
-
So what was the issue date on the N1 claim pack form from the CCBC in Northampton ?
Plus show us a redacted copy of the defence that you filed too
Instructions for filling in the N180 DQ form that you have received 2 days ago are in the newbies FAQ sticky thread , second post3 -
I'm confused I have received a letter from bwlegal today 23/12. It's saying I breached the t&c, their client is willing to resolve the matter if I pay the balance £250.86 in 21 days. So why am I filling out small claims paper work?0
-
Because if you had read the defence template post by coupon mad , reading the 12 numbered steps , plus reading the link in the newbies FAQ sticky thread near the top of the forum in announcements , reading what happens when , you would know this is standard procedure and everyone gets it as trying to settle the claim before a court claim hearing , in court
The claimant chose to pay a lawyer firm to do their claims , you have the right to do the same , but have decided to go it alone down the DIY route , so you need to do the research
Now read what I told you to read , do your own CCBC provided N180 ( preferably downloading the N180 pdf form and filling it in ) , then email it to the ccbcaq email address , same as everyone else does
Although you could pay a solicitor to do the work , it's not worth it financially , so DIY it is , meaning that you need to get your head in the game !!3 -

We're all confused too.
It's taken three days to find out that you received a Claim Form many months ago, filed a Defence and now you have received a Directions Questionnaire.
The 'what happens when' post by Bargepole linked from the second post of the NEWBIES thread tells you exactly how to complete your DQ.
To answer your question "why am I filling out small claims paper work?"... to avoid paying the Claimant anything.
Can you please show us the Defence that you filed?
