I'm with British Gas and have just received £60,although I had an email from them a while back saying I would get £66. Not sure what's going on there then5

The only reason I'm aware of for a refund being less than £66 is if your DD is lower than that. If it is, then they refund the DD and leave the rest of the grant on your energy account as a credit balance.

@cw18 I sympathise with your frustration yet in an MSE way we still need to continue as normal with DD's until it actually hits our accounts. Mine fortunately landed safely and the notice of a new £16 DD will be applied. I had asked Octopus not to do that, hey ho, I have paid the £66 less that would be part of my normal payment. I am in more credit than normal for now.

@London_1 Jackie, I once heard (probably on QI) that the 'spells' were actually the way to remember the order of the ingredients, the preparation instructions, and the timing of it all. By the time the spell was said and followed, the dish was ready.

I am with Shell energy and got my rebate tacked onto my credit, but I am a very low user ,and at the moment because of a fixed deal only pay £36.00 a month for duel fuel.
I am in credit by £334.31 and have just read and sent in my readings It will be interesting to see if they drop my DD before 1st November. Looking at projection for next year the figure they come up with is that I will be paying £108 a month from next September, I shall wait and see how the figures run but will probably phone for a rebate of some of the credit, as my bills are pretty low.

Meanwhile another sunny day here with the heating off. All minor victories!8 -
@cw18 I too noticed that my Shell DD was same as normal even though they’ve credited my account by the £66. I’ll be reducing my DD from next month myself if they don’t do it for me as I’m about £400 in credit already. It does say on my account though that they will be taking the £66 off your DD so not sure why they haven’t.Part time working mum | Married in 2014 | DS born 2015 & DD born 2018

@Bluegreen143 You can't usually change the amount of a DD as what you signed for is for the company to take a variable amount unless of course your provider will let you change it online, although that's usually limited for much you can reduce it but certainly worth a try.
