First day back at work, no chocolate at lunchtime which is a BIG thing for me!! and no spend on lunch, took my cheese and salad pitta with me and my coleague bought me some Xmas fruit and nuts (not the chocolate kind), which I love to snack on, as a surprise from Tesco, apparently a bargain - £3.99 down to 99p just because they have Xmas on the packaging - excellent!! Nice healthy snack and no money involved - woohoo!! xxx:wave:

I'm a bit late on this but can I join in because I feel that if I say it out loud (so to speak) I'll be more likely to stick to it:
I will not buy any more pre-packed sandwiches for lunch. I have lots of nice stuff in my fridge and I will make it myself.
Thank you and well done for everyone doing so well so far xxJanuary budget

If we're doing another one next month, can we have a couple of days in between for a treat? Eve magazine have a free book this month and I've resisted so far but it would be nice to have a day or two 'off' the challenge, without failing lol

hi Mrs MH,
Just found this thread...
Well done you:j
I used to be part of CAFCgirl's unnecessary challenge and need to get back into saving/debtfree ways.
Count me in please.
My resolution is not even to go to see how cheap things are in the sales 'cos I DON'T NEED anything and any money spent is better used paying off debt!!
I know that for me I buy magazines when I'm down or depressed, but I do substitute by picking up any freebies on offer.0
