I've just logged into my BG account and it is showing that my account is now £600 in credit, but there is no detail so I can't confirm that the PFP credit balance has been transferred (although I can't think of another explanation for such a large credit balance). I paid a bill of £400 to BG just before Xmas.
There is no transfer of credit balances as PfP is now in administration. Once PfP’s Administrator has issued a Final Bill, the SoLR will check it for accuracy. At some point the SoLR will add a credit balance (if applicable) to your new account from its own funds. The SoLR will, in turn, seek to recover any credit balances that it has paid out from Ofgem who will then pass them on to the National Grid; suppliers and then onto future customer bills. This is how the Ofgem Consumer Levy was set up: a group insurance policy if you like that we all pay into.
  • I had £234 with PFP, no final bill or confirmation of final readings. BG (huge first bill sent very efficiently) were useless and said they no nothing and I should talk to the Administrators ZEN RIZVI ALVAREZ & MARSAL EUROPE LLP. Eventually got through and they said stay in touch with British Gas. I did that and they said stay in touch with the administrators..... I think I can see where this is going.
  • No sign of the credit yet. BG DD is £99 p/m. Hoping I can reduce that figure, barely at home these days so it seems crazy.
  • ive been on to them for months, the latest i was told yesterday was it should be transferred by the end of the month

weather it will or not is another story, after 6 months and counting i,m not holding my breath

on a diff note as anyone been able to download old bills on pfp energy, i can sign in and see tariff details and personal info but no options on bills or anything else for that matter

    Hi,
I don't think the weather will affect things, just have to wait for things to be sorted.

I don’t have bills available (got them ages ago) just a balance.
  • Finally got my PFP credit applied to my BG account.
There seems to be hope in the world.....

Just had an email from BG to say they had carried over my credit of 37p. No sign of a final bill though so how can I check if this is correct! I screenshotted my credit balance before the PFP website disappeared and downloaded my last bill which was up until 9th August 2021.

Surely they have to provide a final bill which shows the cost of energy and then the deduction of credit?

I also finally had confirmation from BG today that they had received my credit balance from PFP (and it tallies with the figure from the PFP website when I last logged into it).

Yes PFP need to provide a final bill.  It seems it must be happening in the background but even BG have got bored of waiting and started to apply the credits.

If you took a meter reading around the time PFP went bust and you still have it then you can work out from your last bill what your credit balance should be.
