4 years ago I lived with my ex and he set up a sky account with payments coming from my account. he moved out a year later and I have never heard from him since. I now want to cancel sky however they will not let me as they need to speak to my ex and he has to cancel. I have cancelled my DD but sky have said i will still received bills which need to be paid. Any ideas what to do?

The bills will presuably be in his name?

    Imidiatly stop watching subscription chanels.

Write (recorded delivery) to Sky explaining that you're ex has moved out, that you do not knoew where he is, and that you do not wish to recieve Sky any longer.

    Cancell the DD.

Write "no longer at this address" on all bills and re-post them.

ive found out with sky thet are kack

the amount of quality programmes expecially on sky 1 wa sa joke - all it was was the simpeson for 3 hours eache evening and especially on xmas day

any way i stopped paying and after a couple of months they stopped the sky but left me with freesat

but they were kind enough to leave me with their brodband which i have had foc for the past year :rotfl:

if i want to watch any programmes etc then i just download them on the net - far quickers and they dont come with the adverts which are shown on sky every 10 mins !

Well done KB - that is true money saving:D. Someone I know -mentioning no names- had free gas for abot 20 years...they have since moved and no-one noticed. I wonder if the people who bought said house have free gas too!:p

If they won't let you cancel it, then it can't be in your name, so they can't pursue you for payment. Simple.
    !

Perfectly put, I couldnt have said it better myself. Its not your problem. Bin the demands and dont pay a bean, they will soon get the hint.
