Supplier of last resort charges

I, like others have been transferred to a supplier of last resort, and have seen my bill nearly double. I note however that British Gas have levied a supplier of last resort charge of over £10 per month. I see the advice is not to change supplier, but surely even if the price pkwh is the same, the standing charged may be cheaper and and other suppliers may not be charging this 120 per year charge. Anyone had experience of this and swapped?

What is this charge that you are talking about? There is nothing in the SoLR guidance that I have seen which allows SoLRs to raise additional charges. The tariff that you are on will have been agreed with Ofgem during the SoLR appointment process.chippyshelley said:I, like others have been transferred to a supplier of last resort, and have seen my bill nearly double. Is this a business energy contract ? There is no SOLR additional charge on a domestic account.

This made me check my mum's account who got SOLR'd to BG from PFP earlier this year. She's not had a bill yet, or her credit balance copied over, but her account is showing a £6.42 charge described as "Not Invoiced"0

Hi,that's something to do with the daily standing charge that BG had got wrong. There's a thread on it I'll try to find.1

On my Octopus account there was two charges applied yesterday after I gave an electric and gas reading and today they are on my balance history as paid for electric and gas, there is also my pending DD which is due out tomorrow. They could be charges for electric and gas.Braddb said:So I provided my readings, got a bill the 4 days later I now also have 2 additional charges showing as "not invoiced" of £5.97 and £5.32.
