I spent yesterday cleaning out the kitchen and decluttering, the christmas tree finally came down and presents put away. I love a yearly clear out but suprised by how much stuff I have accumulated unecessarily over the year. I now have a large pile of said stuff in the dining room so will try and flog some of it online over the coming week. I found two parcels to return which will give a nice £50 refund, that will be done today. The cupboards are all barren so I ll be hitting the shops for food once I have found my motivation. My two youngest girls will be celebrating birthdays this month so I have two presents to source for best price possible! Gotta be honest and feeling the pinch from repaying debt so intensively. I am a very much all or nothing person so going gun hoe at the debt does suit me but does make me feel I am neglecting other areas of my life but maybe that is just parent guilt? Today will invlove more cleaning and washing as told the youngest to recycle her pants yesterday as she had run out lol!! Will aim for a walk in the fresh air with as many children as I can convince to leave the comfort of their bed and finally I have a counselling session booked for later tonight. I started councelling about a month ago to help me deal with the lose of my mum and it is probably one of the best things I have ever done. Starting to realise I am not quite as awful as I thought.
I did swim in the sea on 1 January which was bracing to say the least and in a bikini lol, was awesome!

@lucielle, I started wild swimming at the summer and it is fab, gives such a rush!, Congrats in the tree felling!
@Catty89, I ll bottle you some and send it over!
@savingholmes, cheers counselling has proven to be a invaluable tool on my journey.
Yesterday convinced no-one to leave their beds and the shopping I should have done is being delivered this morning. Did manage to sell an unwanted toy for £5, the coat hook are sold at £5 and gave away hot tub chemicals and a printer for free. My hall is now filled with unwanted stuff from my decluttering spree so a trip to the skip is likely once it reopens.
One month since debt repayment journey started, total repaid £1689.66 between regular and over payments this month. Exactly where I should be. In this months wage should see the benefit of full time hours and the public holiday pay, this will all go straight to debt. £250.74 left on Tesco loan.

Well done on the New Years Day swim. 3 of my DDs swam in the sea on NY Day. It looked fun, if a little bracing!paydbx2025 #26 £890/£5000 . Mortgage start £148k June 23 - now £138k.

Sad few days with a family bereavement, back to work also and maybe a touch of the January blues for myself. I ve heard people and at work commenting on how skint thet are after Christmas and trying to work extra to cover Christmas payments. I am not skint, thankfully and think all because of careful budgeting! Budget looks good and enough money to see me and kids through until months end.
Payment to Tesco loan of £170 today and now tesco loan £81 until cleared.
Envelope arrived to sell unwanted jewellery yesterday so will post that today and see if I can make anything from the unwanted stuff.debt free £17653.02/ £17653.02, 100% repaid on 31 May 2022, debt free date 25 Dec 20226
