hatty60 Three Spires need to wake up and smell the coffee because that is what Lichfield mainly consists of now, coffee shops. Nice place to wander round and have a coffee but the big players have closed or moved out. There is now competition from the Designer Village with free parking and direct links from Birmingham by train and bus and from Lichfield by bus.

If you do fight your corner you will learn a lot from it and It will give you more confidence to stand your ground if you have problems with a purchase or a contractor.

It will be a long haul but this PPC is beatable at court. I think the fact that a petition has been started and the comments are pretty damming and I would mention the petition in your witness statement.

Update! no correspondence off the MP typical didn't hold breath on that score??  have fired off a letter to Excel I haven't paid them so they can kiss my ****! see what the new year brings?? Happy Christmas to you all xxx

Hi, again another update! backtrack! my MP sent me a letter today and has offered to step in! needs evidence though so having paid with a coin I've no paper evidence? oh well, see what he can do?? fingers crossed!

He can vote in the house to put these companies out of business.  You can help him by giving him as much evidence as you can.t

I would send him a link to the petition and the comments. It evidences that this is not a one off.

Link to the petition. If you read some of the comments there are some people who have paid but still have received a PCN. These are similar to your scenario. I would mention this to the MP. 

If your case was to go to court there are comments on that petition that would back up your defence. I think that on seeing these comments that at judge would rule in your favour. It is a lottery though and nothing is guaranteed.  This PPC took me to court and I did not come off too badly.  

Maybe your MP will speak to Michael Fabricant and hopefully Three Spires will see some sense and revert back to the council.

I think that the person that started the petition may have a connection to the cathedral. I don't know if there is any way of contacting that person but they may be able to help or give a WS. 

I notice on the comments that there are a lot of blue badge holders that have fallen foul.
